"Such a cool place, and a well maintained ghost town. All houses were open to visit, besides the church/school. No furniture left inside, but still could get a good picture how it might have been living there. Great information boards where you can read about the history. Amazing backdrop of Zion National Park. Only a few other visitors when I was there. Parked along the road. No facilities onsite."
"Wanna see a ghost town? This amazing place is nestled just outside of Zion National Park. It has been well kept. You are able to walk through many of the buildings and get a sense of life back in the day. I had the pleasure of visiting Grafton with someone who's family settled the town, very cool and interesting. Several scenes from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were filmed here (for those old enough to remember that classic!). Definitely recommend this side adventure!"
"Very close to Zion National Park and the drive is scenic. Houses are not scary. They are just old and empty. The cemetery is interesting. Some people got killed by Navajo raiders."
"We enjoyed our visit to Grafton, and thankful to those that maintain it. It was also nice to have an information plaque and brochure there that we could read about the history of the town. These families were tough and enduring."
"The public is able to access this private property. They are doing a good job keeping these buildings together. Most buildings are accessible most of the time. Please look-up and download/print the information to look at while you walk the property. Sometimes property maps are available at the site. Please consider donating to help them out! It’s a nice little detour if you’re on the way to Zion National park. Please be respectful of the neighbors and other guests."
