"CSN is a joke. I had put a course I was looking at taking in the cart but did not proceed to go through with it. Fast forward to September of 2023 where I get a bill from CSN for one online course for around $300. Not once did I know they had finalized me into that class. Never received any emails or phone calls regarding this class so I received an F for a class that I didn’t even know my login to the CSN email or to take that course! Tried to dispute but since I don’t have any “proof”, it was denied and sent me to collections. Not sure how to give proof of something that I never received any notification about a class. Now I’m out a few hundred dollars for a class I didn’t even take."
"I've been to CSN before and the teachers and not that good they always like to EMBARRASS students in front of people whether they're late or they didn't do their homework, would the teachers like it if they're get embarrassed in front of the class. THERE'S NO NEED!!! for a teacher to yell or called people names in front of the class. As unprofessional and that is uncalled for!!!!!. I already have an active lawsuit for CSN. If you would contact me just replied to my message..!!"
"I applied here and got accepted. I had to apply for a private student loan only for them to tell me it takes 6 weeks to process the paperwork. I said screw it and went to UNLV and it only took them 5 days to process my financial aid and residency paperwork. Do better CSN!!!"
"Trying to take classes at csn so that I can finish my degree at Nsc. Enrolling has been a nightmare, I have been trying to sign up for classes for 3 weeks. Was told I have a hold on my account at Nsc, called Nsc and they told me there are no holds and that csn has a default in their system that causes phantom holds on classes for upcoming semesters (which i have at Nsc). I called csn who called nsc and verified that I did not have any past due holds and csn said the hold on my account would be lifted within 2-3 business days. Waited, and low and behold, the hold is still there. I called csn back and was given attitude while trying to explain what happened. They said there's no fault in their system and I owe a balance at Nsc, which I do not as the semester hasn't even started and financial aid hasn't been disbursed yet. Went to Nsc, who temporarily removed the financial aid status from my account, went home and tried adding the classes to my cart. Turns out I couldn't as my transcripts from Nsc (which are available through my csn portal) were not evaluated for transfer yet. I am beyond livid with the incompetence of csn. If I didn't need these classes to finish my degree, I would never go here."
"This place completely screwed me over. I'm from California and I started college out there. Came to Nevada to be with family and wanted to continue my education. I enrolled in my first semester and got set up with financial aid. I thought all was good until I went to buy books and they said i couldn't use my financial aid for the books. I would have to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed later... In California, financial aid does not work this way and this absolutely baffled me. I don't get help from family as my family is poor. I work to try to help pay theirs and my own bills. I cannot just afford $800+ worth of books without notice. So I dropped out of the semester with W's. I received no financial aid, but I had been approved for it. Somehow, despite not having received any financial aid, I now OWE them what I got approved for...??? I couldn't even afford my books so of course I couldn't afford to pay a couple thousand in financial aid that I never received. So naturally, the school sent it to collections and it is now ruining my credit. No education, no financial aid. Just debt."
