"There's a LOT to unpack here. First and foremost, do not come here. Mental health is a very serious issue for people in this day/age, and should be handled with extreme care.. especially if you are a provider. If someone makes an appointment with you, they are trusting you which is already hard for someone to do who is struggling. It's hard to search through countless therapists and pick ONE.. it's hard to make that first appointment.. it's hard to take the energy to get out of bed and get dressed and show up to that first appointment. I had an appointment with Krystal today at noon.. I showed up 10 minutes early just to be told at 12:03 that my therapist went home sick. My eyes immediately welled with tears and I felt anger, and extreme disappointment. Unless there was a serious medical emergency, canceling on someone who has already showed up for a MENTAL HEALTH appointment.. especially a consultation is extremely unprofessional and shows the level of disregard this business has for their clients. I saw the sign for the $70 no-show fee, and see from other reviews on here that you actively charge that fee to clients. I would like to know what is offered when YOU cancel on someone who took the time, TRUST, energy, time off work & gas and is already sitting in your waiting room anxiously waiting to get that relief of talking to someone. I was so excited I took that first step for myself for the first time and was doing what has been long overdue.. and left feeling lost hope for the field of mental health. Even the lady at the front desk had no idea what was going on, which led me to believe this was NO medical emergency. If Krystal was still in the building and not in an ambulance, she could have easily introduced herself... apologized and set up a new time. Then MAYBE I would give this place a second chance. Please do not come here.. and if you are the owner reading this.. PLEASE take these matters more seriously. All I was offered was another appointment in two weeks... for some that could feel like months. Absolutely appalling. And a side note for the overly-loud crashing waves that go from speaker to speaker in the waiting room that made me immediately uncomfortable the moment I walked in.. sensory overload is very common for people experiencing mental health issues and only make people more anxious than they already are."

While it did take a few weeks to get an appointment, Michelle the front desk person took the time to match me with an appropriate therapist. I am so glad she did! I could not be happier with the care and therapy I have received from Carma. She is so caring, compassionate and wise."
"I called to get an appointment for a new patient and was told they are "full". So what does that mean? They aren't taking new patients or there is a long wait? She just gave m a website to try to search on my own. There was no compassion in her voice. Obviously people need help when they call and this person was the least helpful she could be."
"Unfortunately they get-100 Stars. As often as I try to find a silver lining, I have nothing positive to report about Better Days Behavioral Health. Long story short, I felt very unsuitable with the therapist they'd assigned to me. I did not feel confident with her level of work experience as she seemed new and seemed to lack knowledge in many things. I was either constantly stopping to explain things that ate up a lot of time OR, I kept talking just to fill otherwise dead air, which was exhausting and ran contrary to why I was there. Counseling should be an uplifting, anticipatory experience, not one that is emotionally draining. It was very awkward to say the least. On the day of my last appt, I woke up with complete dread over having to come in and spend another hour with her. I wrote them and asked for a new therapist and explained why. I also pointed out that I did not want to see her in the first place, that I requested a specific therapist, but they assigned me to her anyway. On the morning of my appointment, I notified them 9 hours before it was to begin. What came after was where it became horrible. The person who received my email (rude front office person Michelle) failed to reply. Moreover, she did not remove me from the schedule, nor did she notify the therapist, leaving her thinking I was a No-Show, and most importantly, she did not take the issue to her superior to ask how it could best be handled. She failed to do any number of constructive things. For starters had she removed me from the schedule, that would have opened a spot for someone else. Instead, she charged me $75 for NOT canceling 48 hours before the appt.; despite my reasons for not wanting to attend, she did not care what my reason was. Parenthetically I had also received an admonishing email and voicemail from the therapist herself, which I also found to be unprofessional, but at this point, it did not matter. Again, many problems would have been avoided had I been taken off the schedule when I canceled at 7am. When I asked her to refund the $75, my request was denied as she informed me the 48 cancellation policy was a hard-line, no exceptions rule. In my experience, this typically applies to repeat offenders, not honest people who are also relatively new to the practice. I did not feel comfortable with the therapist and tried to do the right thing by asking for a new one. Was I supposed to go in anyway and waste both of our time just for the sake of avoiding a fee? Honesty I did not expect to be charged; I had however, expected a reply to my email that included a solution that would work for everyone. I also tried not to cancel but could not rationalize coming in and wasting time simply to avoid a $75 fee that I ended up being charged for anyway. To be honest, paying the fee was the better option; that is how bad it was. Also, they have a very flawed logic in their policy. They require you to cancel or reschedule no later than 48 hours before your appt, but they send reminders just 24 hours ahead of your appt. so, their 48 cancellation policy renders the 24-hour notice utterly pointless as it is then too late to cancel by the time you get it anyway. For me, going here was a bad idea from the start as there were red flags from the moment I made contact and spoke with Michelle. I wish I hadn't gone at all as they only added stress, which is kind of the antithesis of therapy. I will not be returning as I certainly did not feel valued, and I cannot endorse this practice for anyone seeking help with good conscience. They are not designed to help; they are designed to maximize revenue but are doing so in a very shortsighted way. They are not putting clients first, and they are not big picture people. UUUGGGHHH"
"I owe Laura my sanity. She is amazing at what she does. She has always been professional, educational, and worth every minute I spent with her during my EMDR and postpartum anxiety treatment. Once you are an established patient the portal access given to you is user friendly and convenient. I always tell people about this place because it truly has helped me heal in many ways I felt were impossible."
