Reviews of North Valley Bicycles
"I purchased a bike for my son here. I came in for a specific bicycle, and the salesperson showed me the advantages of spending a little more to get a lot more bike. He didn't "upsell" me, he genuinely helped me out. This is the kind of place that will keep me going back. Thanks again for the help!"
"Great bike shop! Ryan was very knowledgeable and helpful, and prices were great too. Had a big weekend ride planned and found myself in need of some emergency maintenance before hitting the road and they fixed me right up. Will definitely be back and highly recommend checking them out."
"I have been to the shop at 7thave and union hills 5times now and have only good things to say about them. They have helped me with bolts for free my first visit and the last few times even changed my tire for me and when I got a new rim switched over my old tire and gears . Great service, friendly, helpful, respectful and decent prices."
"If you were smart then you will not visit this place, unless you like getting ripped off by unaccountable people. Everyone that works there is nice except for this guy named ryan, he still works there, very dismissive and shady. I came back on a Thursday to pick up my E-bike and pay the man and he said the bike was fixed but it needs further repair - okay, fair enough. I drive off and less than 2 minutes later the bike falls apart again like it did before, because whoever finished working on my bike did not put a cotter pin in and my brake pads, washer, nuts and bolts came out and the electric connector to operate the throttle wrapped around the rotar like before, and my confused self brought it back to the shop to wait for a ride and ryan came out and locked up, didn’t even acknowledge my presence and took off. My friend and I fixed the problem ourselves in the garage but found that now the wires in the connector cord is damaged to where the throttle does not power anymore, all because the cotter pin wasn’t put in. Tried to get a refund because I still have the receipt but ryan wouldn’t be accountable and tried to twist my words around instead of just owning up to making a mistake that damaged my bike even further. My $2000 bike may or may not be able to be fixed now, as if I didn’t have enough obstacles in my life and then this event almost became the nail in the coffin. I do not recommend coming here unless you like wasting your time and money."
"I came into North Valley Bikes solely based on location. I was immediately greeted by two guys, both who gave me good vibes and I really liked the bike shop. I was told the bike I had brought in to fix up needed a lot of work. This did not surprise me as it sat in my sister’s garage for 10+ years. I told Ryan, that I was looking to do a couple triathlons this year and then eventually the Iron Man 2023. He recommended a really solid and reputable bike, helped me pick out some shoes, recommended my street wear, and set me up an appointment to fit the bike to me. As one could guess, this was a big time purchase, but I didn’t feel I was led to buy anything I didn’t need. I set the appointment for the fitting, and came back a few days later. At my fitting appointment, Ryan was very professional. He asked me a ton of questions & made the needed adjustments. As a cycling novice, I can never appreciate how knowledgeable Ryan is, but I know he is. He and Chris (a thriathon guru) gave me great tips & insights into my upcoming challenge. My husband and I will be buying his next bike from these guys. Don’t hesitate to stop in. They are awesome!!"
