"Dr. Abanishe and his staff are always very quick to respond. Dr. Abanishe has never caused any negative issues with my care. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs behavior health care. I am very grateful to be treated by this wonderful doctor. Thank you!!"
"This practice does not even deserve one star. Do not go to this psychiatrist, I cannot stress this enough. This practice only exists to make money, and does not care about their patients. I essentially have to beg them to send in my meds, and even then, they wait 2-3 days to send them. Not to mention they are sent to the wrong pharmacy almost every single time. The front desk is ran by his wife, who is not a doctor. She writes scripts and gives you medical advice as if she is a doctor- which is unethical and not to mention illegal. She has literally sent in different meds for me because she thought they would “work better”. The doctor and his wife also just went on vacation (in the middle of the week) without notifying any of their patients- leaving who I believe is their young daughter “running” the front desk. I was out of my meds, and had called two days before they left and asked to have them refilled. They were out of stock at the Walgreens they were sent to, so I called what seemed like every Walgreens in Tucson- and figured out who had them. Called back and asked for them to be sent to the Walgreens that had them in stock. It took them those two days to send them, and they sent them to the exact same Walgreens where they were out of stock in the first place. When I asked if they could send them to the correct one, the daughters answer was “Sorry they are on vacation, we might be able to call them in Monday- at the soonest”. It was Tuesday. I ended up having to go to a crisis center to get my medications refilled. This was the last straw for me. No ethics, no accountability, and the worst psychiatric care I have ever received. Do not go to this doctor- especially if you are on controlled meds that may be out of stock or on back order frequently. They will not in any way, shape, or form attempt to help you get them in a timely manner. You will go without meds when you see this doctor. Stay away for your own good!"
"My experience with Dr. Abanishe was impeccably excellent and the office staff was admirably friendly. I will highly recommend this doctor. He is a Columbia University trained psychiatry. He is very knowledgeable. Many of my complain and explanations were dismissed by other clinician, but I got resolution after meeting with doctor Abanishe. I have had several calls to this office, the office staffs are very nice and friendly, It has being a very good experience. My overall experience has been greatly wonderful. I am able to function uniquely in areas that I have been struggling'"
"UPDATE: Since my health insurance doesn’t cover Dr. Abanishe I have been paying cash. They just instituted a new “no cash” policy after seeing my review. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you run elsewhere. Henrietta just hung up on me when I asked the doctor to please submit refills for the next month while I find a new doctor. I highly suggest you look elsewhere. Dr Abanishe is ok, but Henrietta (receptionist) is impossible to deal with. If you ask for a message to be relayed to the doctor, she will answer for him on the spot as if you are under her care…she’s a receptionist, not my doctor. She is his wife and it’s illegal to provide medical advice if she is not a doctor. I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional front end of a medical office. Also, Dr. Abanishe recommended I perform DNA testing to see which medications *likely* would be best for my body if needed. It was over $7,000 and I never received the results. I assumed it wasn’t approved. I was wrong and found out a month ago he’s had them for about 2 years now. And decided to finally go over the results with me after I brought it up. He is an ok doctor but not a doctor you want to really see more than once or twice."
"I have been going to Mountain dew behavioral health for a year and a half. Dr. James Abanishe is an amazing Psychiatrist! He is up-to-date on current treatments. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He is also very kind and compassionate. I have received the best care here than any other doctor I have seen for my mental health care. I would also like to complement Henrietta, She is the nurse and also office manager. She is very professional, efficient, and prompt in answering phone calls and returning phone calls and handling issues that arise. She is very kind and compassionate! I have received excellent care here. I suffer with major depressive disorder. I completed the TMS treatment here at Mountain dew behavioral health, last year. This Treatment really helped with my depression. I would highly recommend this treatment as well. I am much improved but I still need medication, as I also suffer with generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. I completed the gene site test which was very beneficial in finding the right medicine that would work for me. I would highly recommend anyone suffering with depression to take this test first because it helps narrow down which medication would be the most effective. I’ve suffered with major depression for 15+ years. I want to thank Dr. James Abanishe, Henrietta and all staff for the excellent care they provide. I would highly recommend Mountain dew behavioral health for anyone suffering with mental health issues."
