"This place saved my life exactly 20 years ago. I was in the throes of a deep depression/confusion and was suicidal. I could barely make it to my appointment, but I did, started meds and miraculously stayed out of the hospital. I'm a parent now and living in another part of the country. Just randomly Googled to see if it was still open. Do yourself or your loved one a favor and go see them."

"I have been seeing Dr. Kane for about a year and she's been really great! She's very helpful; I work with her as well as my psychologist for care. Despite some other negative reviews, I'm quite happy with the care I've received here, and I would recommend the center for treatment."

"This center is a joke. Not only was I charged for an appointment I was never notified about, but Dr. Kane is completely unprofessional and unethical. She dresses like a slob, and her attitude is not much better. The biggest issue was that I had a bad respiratory reaction to a mood stabilizer medication, and I was blown off completely. Dr. Kane was out of the office (as she often is), and the on-call physician never called me back. Only after persistent calling was I able to get a hold of Dr. Kane, who insisted I only had the flu- both my primary care NP and an urgent care physician concurred that my respiratory problems, though rare, were most likely due to the medication. I had to fight Dr. Kane to take me off of the medication. Six months later when I said my other medications that I had been on for a year and half were not working, she blamed me and said the medication was not my problem and that switching to something was pointless. I've seen other psychiatrists, and all have said that sometimes fit takes going through several medications to find one that works. Even the counselor I saw was rude and condescending. I'm glad to be rid of the place."

"Dr. Kane is insensitive, biased, and sets boundaries. How am I supposed to talk about want is bothering me. She won't prescribe any useful meds. Maybe some Ativan, Klonopin or Valium. Meds I've been prescribed many times. I am manic and depressed as hell. My next appointment wasn't for 7 weeks, are you kidding me. The only reason I saw her was because I couldn't get in with a different doctor that was booked up. I head great things about this place, what a disappointment. Wasted 2 hours, $80, no including what they billed my insurance. To sit in front of an old, bitter, mean woman. When my wife saw her she thought she was a patient. Disheveled looking, you'll see.i feel worse since going there. I do not recommend the Aleph Center."

"I don't know how the other doctors treat their clients here, but Dr. Kane is unethical and biased. She has an agenda, and was looking for any reason to not treat me. She found her reason the day I had to keep my son in from daycare. I know I'm not the only parent that's had to bring their child into a doctors appointment, but that was enough for Dr. Kane to terminate my file. This is no way to treat a patient. She acted like my son was a terrible nuisance, and as if my concerns are insignificant."
