"One of the worst visits I have ever had in a medical office. Too many issues to mention. The online check in system was not working so I continued to receive multiple texts and emails daily. One text informed me that as a new patient I was to be there 30 minutes before my appointment or other arrangements would have to be made. I arrived 35 mins before my appointment. The online patient profile was also not working so I was handed a smeared, greasy tablet to fill in my information. The sullen receptionist told me I could not check in without redoing my info again. Fortunately most of the info was there but some was missing. So, I was all checked in by 2:30. A very nice Nurse called me back at 3:14, my appt. was for 3 so I was already steamed. She was super nice so I decided to calm down as I know pregnant patients have issues. I was told to undress, put a gown on and sit on the table. Now I am 69 years old and this process stopped a long time ago. I have not been required to get naked before meeting the doctor for quite some time. But I did as told but sat in the chair and not on the exam table as that is a back killer. I waited so long the motion detector light switched off in the room. The doc finally arrived about 3:45 and noted I had been waiting so long the light had gone out. She thanked me for my patience and I told her I had not been patient as I had been in the office for over an hour. No response. I had not filled out my family history again as that took quite a bit of time online but disappeared in their system. The Dr. kept referring to me as "Doll". Really a timewarp here. She might think this is endearing but it really comes across as dismissive. I'm not important enough for her to glance at my name? To ask about my family history? I had a maternal aunt die of endometrial cancer. She told me at my age I no longer need a pap smear. I had already decided I would never return to this office so I did not bring up my aunt."
"Dr. Holmquist was one of the worst doctors I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I came in to specifically discuss surgical options for treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome, which I was diagnosed with by two different providers back in Colorado as recent as April of 2023. I had another ultrasound performed before being seen by Dr. Holmquist. Not only did she try to push MORE birth control on me after I had expressed I did not want them, but as soon as I was assertive about declining oral contraceptives, her attitude completely changed and she was very dismissive and seemed like her ego got in the way of treating me properly. She went so far as to give me complete misinformation as to my treatment options for PCS, such as stating that a hysterectomy was my only option and that vein embolization (which is what I was interested in) would completely eliminate my ability to have children in the future. I got a second opinion from my PCP and another OBGYN who told me that is completely incorrect and in fact, vein embolization can improve fertility with a high success rate on eliminating pain as soon as a week after the procedure is complete. I don't know what this doctor's problem was, but she clearly is not educated on pelvic congestion syndrome and did not seem interested in helping me with my pain. Furthermore, she tried to tell me that I may have irritable bowel syndrome, which is just absurd. I know the difference between pelvic and abdominal pain and I do not appreciate being talked to as if I'm uneducated. I do a lot of research and am educated by other providers on my condition so I was surprised to hear completely contradictory information from Dr. Holmquist on pelvic congestion syndrome. My visit with Janice Reynolds was fantastic but I will not be coming here again. I can no longer trust that I am receiving correct information on my options for relief."
"Loved my experience with Dr. Holmquist! She is professional, thorough, listens and provides solutions with a great bed-side manner that allowed for humor and laughter. She is a keeper! So glad to have found a great OBGYN, assistant and staff for my well woman and hormone needs. Thank you all!"
