Participants are allowed to keep up to ten pieces of turquoise they find during the tour.
In addition to the mine tours, the institution also features a Visitor Center and Turquoise Store where visitors can learn more about the history of turquoise mining and purchase unique turquoise jewelry and artifacts. The store hours for Winter/Spring are coming soon, and reservations for the mine tours are required at least one week in advance by calling or texting 520-585-6555.
