"Absolute GEM. A must visit. Great staff. Fantastic train display and fun. Great advice on area. Kartchner caves truly a world class site to tour. G&F pizza wow. Benson is a remarkable place to visit."
"Lots of cool information about local railroad history. You can control the overhead model train using realistic locomotive controls and cab viewpoint thanks to a camera on the model locomotive - an incredible experience! If you are a train or railroad fan, this is a must stop if you're in the area. I wish I'd gotten her name to thank her here personally; the hostess was amazingly helpful!"
"I was actually waiting for the Greyhound Bus, which the bus stop is across the street( on the same side of street) u can't miss it, there's a old caboose on the open lot ,that has a bench ( covered),I was going to Phoenix AZ."
"It was very early in the season but we were warmly welcomed here. I was offered extra postcards and free magnets. So nice. Got a lot of materials to help us on the way through Arizona. It's our first winter here and we already LOVE it!"
"Make sure to visit the Benson Visitor Center when you’re in town or just driving through! Not only do they have beautiful murals that surround the parking areas (and also around town), but the displays inside the building are informative and very well done. Don’t forget to look up! The train wasn’t operational while we were there, but the static display is still impressive. They recreate the Polar Express during the Christmas holidays too! In addition, there’s a livestream of the real railroad track and the link to check it (and other tracks) out at your leisure. Kathy is phenomenal too… you might recognize her from the 30-minute program on the Historic Highway 80 that the city of Benson produced. She is just as nice, professional, and informative in person — a perfect representative for the Visitor Center! I cannot stress enough how much you’ll enjoy stopping in the visitor center. You’ll leave with a better understanding and appreciation of Benson’s history, and maybe a few souvenirs too!"
