Reviews of Limelight Youth Theatre
"great actors, but they desperately need a new tech guy. couldn’t hear the actors 90% of the time, definitely ruined the show for everyone in the audience that night. luckily the actors energy made up for it. (edit: this was for bring it on, i know it was at a different location but same company!)"
"Love doing shows here! The people are so kind and willing to help!"
"I've seen many shows over the last 5 years at both of Limelight's theater locations (Studio 3 Artspace and Mesa Arts Center). All shows have been well produced and professional. Some have been spectacular, which, I assume is why they get so many NYA and AriZoni Awards each year. The attention to detail is amazing. This really is a top youth theater in the Valley."
"My daughter has loved doing shows here. They do shows both at the Mesa Arts Center and inside Studio 3. When the shows are at Studio 3, most of the staff are actually parent volunteers and not staff members. The kids are all friendly to one another and love doing shows. Note: I noticed that one review said trash was full and that is probably because the kids had eaten right before the performance. I guarantee by the end of the night, the trash had been taken out. It is just not always possible to do it between the time the kids eat and the show begins."
"From the moment I walked in the door the staff were very unprofessional and had no idea what they were doing; very unoganized. The cast of the show were rollerscating in the lobby looking for their costume pieces. Disgusting bathrooms! (It doent take much to take the trash out and wipe down a counter.) The' backstage' crew discussing their personal lives right beside me before the show even started I thought was unnecessary. If I waned to listen to people's problems I would go somewhere else and not a theatre. However, the show itself was cute, actually enjoyed it in its entirety. The choreography was okay, so many sickled feet it was scary (just for safety reasons) but the kids pulled it off. All in all not impressed with the staff but the performance itself was cute."
