"I am a longtime Allstate customer, however, I have never met the agent (Keith Duncan) and after a year of him having multiple policies, I sent an email to set up an appointment to go over our policies. Did not get a response back several days later, so I called the office and spoke with Myra. She was rude and indicated that they really did not do office appointments. I was wanting to review several policies and talk about adding an additional policy and I needed an in person meeting. Myra was insistent that he could do that over the phone. I explained that both myself and husband wanted to meet and he is hard of hearing, doing it over the phone was difficult for us. I asked why no in person meetings and she told me unprovoked that it doesn't matter if you are vaccinated or not. I didn't even mention COVID as it is now June of 2022, and certainly didn't consider it had anything to do with that. I then mentioned that I had sent an email with my request and Myra said that he had not been in the office. That is a lame excuse as if someone is not coming into the office, that makes no sense. I am quite sure he has access to emails from many other sources. Finally, upon my insistence I was able to set up an appointment but it was more than a week out and the time that I hadn't heard back from the original email. I set up the appointment but was irritated that an agent was getting paid and had been getting paid for my policies and when I needed something I wasn't getting help. I contacted another Allstate office, went in and reviewed my policies, added a new policy and switched agency offices. Still never got a response from my original email request. Customer service is lacking from this Allstate office. I did then cancel the appointment. Update after Allstate response: Keith, I appreciate that you acknowledge that you missed the email. However, Myra never offered a Zoom meeting, which I am quite capable of. Additionally, I never indicated that I did not want any contact after changing agents. I spoke with you when I called to cancel my appointment. Allstate is a good company and I will continue to do business with them."
