"First time trying The Codfather and I'll definitely be back! The owner was such a nice guy! I had the cod and chips and the catfish and chips, both were excellent and huge slabs of fish. The chips were excellent. I added a side of curry and that was good too! There were probably 10 tables and all were full plus a line of 5 people. We took ours to go and ate in the car and it was ready in around 10 minutes. Easy parking out front. More photos located on my profile page and videos on my YouTube page."
"Having a British wife, we’ve been searching for a while for good quality fish and chips. We happened to be in town for an event and came across this place online. The reviews are real this place is incredible. Great service and food. Amazing Cod and Tartar sauce. My wife said it was the best Fish n chips place in the US"
"The Codfather in Henderson is a true culinary delight. The fish and chips here are a cut above: the cod is enormous, wrapped in a batter that's both light and crispy. The freshness of the fish is evident in every flaky bite. The chips are perfectly done - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the curry sauce is a game-changer. The mushy peas are fresh with a subtle grassy flavor, complementing the meal beautifully. The setting is casual with a distinct British vibe, and the restroom is notably spacious and clean. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic British fish and chips. Here's a video of my experience: https://youtu.be/3MVUGkXNK1A"
"This is definitely the place for fish and chips. The portions are big, and the fries are fresh cut. The cod butty is something to try. It's a fish sandwich on a bagel with all the fixings. It was actually good. It's one of the biggest fish sandwiches I've had. For fish and chips, I did notice that you get one big fish, which I usually don't like, so I ordered bites, which were four medium sized squares. I like a good ratio of batter to fish and it was definitely enough to fill someone up. I went on a Friday night around 6pm and it was busy. I line to order moved quickly and I waited around 15 minutes to receive my order. Enjoy!!!! Cod save the queen....in cod we trust...."
"Like most foodies, I'm always on the hunt for some delicious fried goodness and The Codfather definitely delivered. The establishment was very clean and inviting. It was a positive experience to see all the tables full and a bit of a like when arriving, I don't mind waiting for something that's going to be fantastic. I will saw that the gentleman taking the orders was also helping build the orders and bringing them out to the customer. All while keeping his composure AND being very friendly and positive! We waited about 10 minutes to order and another 10 or so to receive our food. Mind you, all orders are being cooked fresh as they're ordered and that will definitely show in the freshness of the food. We ordered two of the Cod and Chips, one with mushy peas and the other with gravy and a clay chowder to share. Orders come with Tartar sauce, Ketchup and malt vinegar. The portions of the fish were substantial. I got a very large piece and my wife received 2, both flaky and delicious. The fries were freshly cut and thick, perfect! I had never eaten gravy with my fish so for me, it was a very pleasant experience. The Tartar sauce seems to also be made in house and made perfectly. The clam chowder was good, a little thick for my liking but it definitely has potential. Nice flavor and good sized pieces of clam. Mushy peas were a miss for me, I love peas but these needed some seasoning. I added a little table salt and it still was lacking in my opinion. Overall The Codfather delivered right from the start. Clean establishment, pleasant customer service and delicious good food!"
