Black Bear Diner 2751 North Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, NV 89014

"So I’ve been working in Vegas for 5 weeks and where I’m located there happens to be a Black Bear Diner in walking distance, so found myself ordering here if not every day, every other day. On 2/29/2024 at 9:02am I ordered a breakfast club melt with a side of hash browns to go, again it’s less than 2 mins from where I’m remotely working. When I get back to my office I pull my breakfast out and prepare to eat, first I take a bite of the sandwich and then the hash brown. As I’m mixing my hash browns I notice a bug inside my food! I immediately spit my food out and drink my water feeling sick to my stomach, now I’m thinking maybe I already ate a bug before I noticed this one. I pull out my phone and take a video explaining what just happened. I close my food and head back to the restaurant. I get there and tell the waitress in front what happened and she get the manager. When the manager comes she tells me that she’s never seen this before but will make me another meal. I tell her I just would like a refund since my company is paying for it. She leaves and another manager comes and greets me he’s nice and apologetic about whole situation, insuring me that monthly pest control checks are done and that they typically don’t have bugs. He tells me that my food has be refunded and asks again if I would like another meal. I tell him no thank you and that it made me lose my appetite. After this situation I don’t think I’ll be ordering here anymore. I’m a big good guy and the thought of that bug in my food really made me feel sick."

"After a long day out at the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam, we needed a comfy sit down meal and a relaxing place to eat. Double win at the Black Bear Diner. Super friendly staff greeted us at the front counter when we walked in and sat us right away. I’m a huge fan of breakfast foods and had no idea they serve breakfast all day. Win! My wife ordered an omelette and I opted for the open face biscuit and gravy plate. Wow, that is a ton of food. Definitely had to take leftovers with us. Everything tasted great and I’d love to return and try something else."

"The food portions are quite large! But everything was delicious and fresh. The biscuits were super dry and I always wish the fruit bowl had less melon. Our server was great! It’s a themed restaurant, so it’s fun for families, but maybe a little odd for business. It was clean and had high chairs as well."

"The best place off the strip for a large and affordable breakfast. Nothing fancy, but they have a huge breakfast menu and give the ability to order non breakfast foods in the AM. Plenty of choices. The service is always attentive and the food comes out quick. The ambiance is your average breakfast place. Lots of families and elderly people. I like it. Small conversations, the clanking of silverware and the smell of freshly brewed coffee are somewhat nostalgic to me."
