"I write this from a providers point of view. Run. Do not walk. Run from BCBS. Their incompetence knows no bounds. Seriously. It does not matter what state or division you try to deal with you will get run around answers, wrong answers or no answers. I can tell you from the dental side many dentists are dropping them because we can no longer deal with the hours and hours of problems they unnecessarily create."

"Our BCBS coverage ended 12/31/22. They were dutifully notified by our agent but we both got bills for January and up until September of 2023. Despite calls, emails and letters we continued to be billed. It was nice to no longer receive bills - and then surprise! November 30th we each received letters saying that since we hadn’t paid our January bill our insurance was canceled. Good!"

"Wish I could give a negative star review. Incompetent CSRs, transferred to multiple humans, with no answer to issues after multiple calls of 15 minutes and longer. Paid high premiums as self insured in 2022, cancelled effective 12/31/2022, which in itself was handled very awkwardly through 3 emails and 4 phone calls. On 7.29. 2023, BCBS AZ auto paid themselves from my canceled bank account for dental, which was cancelled 12.31. Explanation is that system change "must of re-enrolled you". What? "Escalated" issue internally by CSR to 1)clear coverage and refund erroneous withholding, 2-3 weeks to process. Management needs to 1)quality and volume test after system upgrade or implementation to correct programming issues prior to release, 2)train your phone reps on system capabilities, and 3) turn that awful, oversaturated hold music."

"Tried to speak to Courtney about an issue never receiving my card. She assured me she would transfer me to a supervisor when I asked if I could at least see if they had any ideas about how to correct this situation. This was after she said she could no longer help me, but it became immediately clear she just hung up the phone on me. I’m very disappointed in the customer service, especially from someone working in healthcare."

"Just wow, Im amazed at how terrible and expensive this insurance company is. I enrolled for January 2023 and they took my payments for Januaray, Feburary, and March. March 3rd after taking my monthy payment they cancelled my membership due to "lack of payment". When I called them they said they changed their system and autopayments had to be re issued. I was never informed. They took my money and kicked me out. If you are considering BCBS of AZ... RUN!!!"
