"Not the place for an African American to live. Especially if you’re a cognizant young black professional. Gilbert in general is passive aggressively racist. And the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree near the folks in management at District Lofts. Your concerns will be heard but not understood. Your money will be gladly taken but respect not reciprocated. My lease couldn’t have ended fast enough."
"Being a home owner it has been almost two decades since I toured an apartment and I must say I had a great experience at District Lofts this past Saturday. This community is in a great location tucked behind the Gilbert water tower in downtown Gilbert and has a vintage/industrial feel to it. The leasing professional Chanda was very personable. I didn't have an appointment when I came in and her greeting was warm and inviting. She accommodated to fit me in and seemed genuinely interested in my wants and needs. I did end up putting in an offer on a house but would recommend checking out this community. My experience here may have been brief but it definitely felt like a place I could call home."
"We lived at the District Lofts for 2.5 years and enjoyed most of our time there, but were beyond ready to leave toward the end of our lease. The things we enjoyed about living at the Lofts were the neighbors that we met and became friends with, the distance to downtown Gilbert, the overall aesthetics of the complex and inside of the apartments, and the balcony sizes. However, the things that we did not enjoy outweighed the things we did enjoy. I HIGHLY suggest getting a unit on the top floor. You can hear every footstep of heavy-footed upstairs neighbors, as well as their dogs running around their apartment and constant barking while they are gone. If you work from home and depend on WiFi, this may not be the best place to live as the internet goes down MULTIPLE times per day. Since we lived there, we saw at least 4 different front office teams come through, so nothing is consistent, and they do not employ enough maintenance team members to get everything done in a timely matter. Because of this, there are constantly things that aren’t working in the Clubhouse. You will be told that a vendor is supposed to come check on it, and they won’t be fixed for MONTHS. Parking was a major issue as well if you get home after 6pm. It was incredibly frustrating to pay the price for a “luxury” apartment, and it not live up to that standard."
"Had a great experience at the lofts. The location is great, with in walking distance from downtown Gilbert and the farmers market on Saturday mornings. The gym was nice if you needed a quick work out and the pool had some good energy to it. All the residents we interacted with were very friendly."
"Loved here for almost two years. I would say it’s an amazing location but management and maintenance is awful. Asked for them to look at the walls since they are cracking due to the train. The first year they called AC service providers sense it was built improperly. Year two it’s happening again. No AC during the summer is a risk to health. Ask the apartment to replace the bulbs inside of the loft their response was they can’t because they don’t have a ladder tall enough so no lights. Luxury apartment with a lot of problems."
