Reviews of Verona Park Apartments
"Came to take a tour. I know their reviews aren’t the greatest but I went about 45 minutes before our tour and walked around the neighborhood to speak to the neighbors (wanted a better sample size than the people who are quick to jump and leave a negative review, I hate that) I like the cleanliness of the complex and I got over all. Tour went well, the two ladies in the front were really nice (Jenesis and Layla I think), the gym was nice, the movie room was nice although I think it’s silly that it closes at 6 PM and most people are working during that time. Pool looks nice. Price is reasonable. Undecided if I’m gonna move hear but got good feedback."
"I had an appointment at 4 PM, and when I arrived the gate leading into the leasing office was closed. There was a current tenant in a motorized scooter, also waiting. When I arrived shortly there after a young man came out and began to yell at the lady on the scooter, saying how they were short staffed, and they’re trying to get prepared for an event. He then turned around and walked away and shut the door. I later found out and that he was your maintenance supervisor. I was absolutely appalled at his behavior, and the fact that he never even addressed me while I was standing there was absolutely unacceptable. I expressed my discontent with the two ladies in the leasing office, who were quite pleasant. As I talked to some of the other residents while I was waiting, I heard about other issues on your property. The first apartment I was taken to reeked of cigarettes and the condition of the mailboxes was absolutely unacceptable, with broken locks and doors that wouldn’t close all the way. How horrible. And somebody should speak to your maintenance supervisor. I don’t care how short staffed they were, and what circumstances they were going through but to have somebody come out yelling at a tenant like that and completely disregard me who was standing there almost 20 minutes after my appointment and not even address me."
"DO NOT MOVE HERE. Administration change and everything went downhill. Don't get fool by the ratings. Apartments old and outdated. Not enough people for maintenance. My utility bill has been in the $100+ for 3 months and I live alone in a single bed apartment. Electricity is not included in the utility bill. Sprinklers system always have a leak. Trash everywhere and dog pop too. Trash cans overflown."
"I just moved in two weeks ago and not satisfied at all. My AC wasn’t working for the first two days meanwhile the outside temps were over 90 degrees. They thankfully came a fixed it. But not we have a broken dryer, missing shower rods leaks from the shower heads discoloration on the walls… but yet we were charged 250$ for cleaning? Nothing was cleaned properly before we moved and maintenance is driving around in golf carts racing them instead of trying to make peoples experiences here better. All the office people has to say is “we are understaffed” definitely not a great experience so far."
"This review is based off of my experience in building 6 (units facing the main pool by the management office). The large trees are beautiful and provide lots of shade but you will have bird poop all over the walkway and possibly your patio rails most of the time. In the summer the smell of dog poop became very rancid due to some owners not picking up after their dogs. The bedrooms are very spacious. The living room on the other hand was a bit small for us. We were unable to comfortably fit a dining table along with our living room set up. The pool was closed pretty often during the summer, sometimes on three day holiday weekends. Management staff was friendly throughout our stay. Maintenance has had a lot of turn over so some of our maintenance requests went unfulfilled for a long period of time. The Verona Park apartments have a lot of potential so hopefully things go better next year!"
