"I have been a resident of Villa Toscana since 2017. Throughout the years and many ups and downs, but through the many years I have been happy overall. I have mostly worked closely with Theresa Throughout the years and most recently with Violetta and Sheila, in which are all wonderful human beings. I"
"Lived there for three years. Lied to since day one. Filthy when moved in. No hot tub for 9 months. Holes in ceilings of walkways for two years. Fire in ac unit from pine needles building up due to lack of maintenance. Door kicked in holes in my unit. Had to help repairman fix new door. Never painted in apt. Door painted closed. So white border. Had to clean up after repairs evert time. They will pick up in front leave rest dirty with trash. Much more. Stay away"
"I lived here for 3 years and it was absolutely terrible. There were roaches when we moved in and it took them years to get rid of them. It takes them forever to complete any simple request. On top of that, the AC would not hold a temperature any lower than 80 degrees in the evenings during the summer. I asked several times to have this fixed and they would just change the filter and leave. Also, the internet in this complex is completely horrid. The wiring is old and unstable, but Cox (their partnered internet provider) cannot change the wiring without the office's consent, but the office will never give consent to have the wiring replaced. Then there's the laundry rooms. It's extremely rare that all of them are working. There's always one that's flooded or closed for maintenance (for months) or just without power. The washers smell bad and half of them are busted open and won't lock to start a load. Plus, some of the laundry rooms will just not accept your card and you have to walk to another laundry room to do your laundry. On top of all of this, there is nothing stopping homeless people from sleeping in little corners on certain floors or sitting in the laundry rooms all day and night since the gates are always broken. It makes me wonder why the rent increases year by year, but nothing is ever changed other than a fresh coat of red or yellow paint over the curbs and speed bumps. Just walk around the complex and you'll see all the nonrepaired sections, incomplete projects, and damage caused by kids or homeless people. All in all, this complex is a complete and utter, horrendous, dreadful, grim place to live. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I'd honestly rather be in prison where there's at least AC. Violet (one of the office ladies) was just about the only person that was enjoyable to speak to. And if you read this Violet, thank you so much for working with me while I saved to move into a house."
"I am a recent applicant/ resident and was very satisfied with the application process. Though it is somewhat laborious, lotsa paperwork, it was worth it. Full disclosure, I did not compare Villa Toscana to, and apply to, several apartment complexes because the application process can be costly. After doing some research and checking on my own I determined that the community was acceptable and monthly rent was competitive. My rep/ liaison Violetta was very helpful and maintained contact through the application process with prompt responses. I moved into a one-bedroom apartment after an approximately four-day application process. I am very satisfied thus far. The apartment was clean and roomy with lots of closet and storage space and a small balcony for lounging outside. The complex itself is in a clean, safe, section of Peoria convenient to shopping areas, all the major stores, banks and restaurants. I'm certain I'll be very satisfied going forward. If you want a convenient, clean and safe community at a reasonable price then you might find this community to your liking."
