"Cockroaches, Homeless people and they keep increasing their their utility bills unnecessarily. Our car was tampered with two times in that compound yet the management was less concerned. Pls don’t go if you can’t handle bill increases."
"I moved here and everything was good, the previous manager was used to being rude but at least she was helpful, a month ago they decided to change the manager and this one is worse, she is extremely rude, unhelpful at all, she changed all the rules, she closes the swimming pool just because, so the swimming pool most of the times are unavailable. The door are damaged and that creates a no safety place since you see everywhere walking around the parking lot. They charge you for everything, for everything. This place really sucks with this new manager. My friends from this unit, all of them were gone. Everybody is leaving. If your option is aspire, believe me, there are safer and cheaper places that this one."
"We moved in here during the pandemic and it was affordable and easy to qualify and move in. Because of the pandemic we did not look at the apartment until the day we moved in, and it seemed alright. We had no clue how bad the roaches were into about a year ago. Although we didn't have a problem with them, except when the units on either side of ours were being moved out of and/or repairs being made, we would have influx of bugs that we would treat for and regain control. We are now at the end of our 3rd lease here and we are done! The roaches are out of control and the complex charges residents $5.00 every month for "pest control" that is a joke! The bug guys are here every other Friday and it's ridiculous how bad these bugs are! I used to feel like it was my housekeeping skills adding to the problem since I'm disabled and there are lots of things that are challenging for me. But no matter what I do they keep getting worse. Pest control fogged our place and it did nothing. They put gel bait under the counters and cupboards and it did nothing! And now we are moving out and trying to not bring bugs with us but I think the only way will be to get new furniture for our new place. The rent here has gone up almost $400 since pandemic, and the place keeps getting worse. Grounds are dirty, the drive through security gate is often stuck in the open position, the laundry room is not unlocked at least once per week, they keep raising the rents without upgrading the units. I am so relieved to be finally getting out of here!!!"
"The property management company has had promotions for tenants to enter in raffles, if they leave a positive review… so I’d take that into consideration when reading all of these 5 star reviews… Within the last 3 years the apartment complex has been bought out by 3 separate property management companies, each one raising the rent. Anytime you renew your lease, the price goes up. When an apartment here is “New Renovated” that actually means they’ve painted over the dead bugs and spider webs instead of actually cleaning your apartment, used peel-n-stick vinyl on moldy base floor & duct tape pipes under sinks instead of installing them properly. They also don’t tell you that you don’t get a/c & heat year-round. They give you one or the other depending on the time of year. Last year they waited until March to turn the a/c on, but only because they legally had to due to AZ law. Because of this they do not maintain the system & many tenants a/c units leak. Instead of fixing the issue in the chiller room, they just drain the trap when you complain just for it to fill back up the next day. The water is ground water, so it smells and tastes bad. They forget to unlock the laundry rooms at least once or twice a week, so good luck having to wear a dirty shirt to work. The washing & drying machines also have rust damage so be prepared that your clothes will get rust stains on them. The sewer system is connected to everyone in the same building as you and has backed up into several tenants apartments on multiple occasions. Their spray system for the grass gets water everywhere (literally will spray you in the face) so it is not even safe for adults and children to walk on the property without slipping or getting wet. The “security gate” is old and never works so homeless people like to throw trash & camp in the complex at night. Tenants have had several issues with vehicles being stolen & apartments being broken into. When the property management team was asked, “why not replace the gate?” I was told that it would cost them $20k and they could not afford it even though they charge at least $1k per apartment in rent alone and they have over 100 apartments at just this complex (did I mention the management company owns several properties, all starting with “Aspire”). They are making over $100,000 a month. They also charge you a reoccurring fee for “maintenance” and literally anything you think they can get away with. When tenants complain about bedbugs they only treat the individual apartment, not the entire building or the laundry rooms which is disgusting. If you look around the property each building only has one meter for measuring utilities and when reviewing the utility bill, you’ll find out that you are not paying for what you specifically use (water, gas, electricity, sewer, etc). They take the total amount of each utility for the entire building and divide it based on how many people you have on the lease. When comparing my bill to another tenant with a family of 5 living in a one bedroom, our bills were exactly the same which is not fair at all considering I live alone and there is no possible way that, I am using the same amount of utilities when I work over 40 hours a week, am barely able to be home to use the utilities than a family with kids. Just don’t live here. I regret ever moving in here & I hate that because it’s so expensive here, it’s going to be hard to leave. They also literally require a 60 day notice if you plan to not renew the lease. Most apartments in Phoenix don’t even have anything they know for sure is available 60 days before you plan to move in, so you literally have to hope you’ll be able to find something otherwise you’re screwed & if you don’t renew the lease within that time they will go higher on the rent even moreso than they already were because they always raise it every time you renew. If you break the lease, they will make you pay for all the remaining months on the lease. This place should be condemned. No one in here is truly happy, just stuck."
