"Absolutely terrible apartment. Drugs, bugs and cockroaches everywhere! I even saw a drug deal go down right in front of my eyes! Do not rent here at all, unless you enjoy seeing people shooting up in the parking lot!"
"honestly enjoyed living here for the first year but now i’m over it. i have multiple things wrong with this apartment and i just am tired of putting work orders in. my dishwasher has never worked from the start but chose to ignore it cause of bigger issues as my ac didn’t work for the whole first summer living there and no one showed up. the next year the ac didn’t work and it took awhile to just get a cooler in. guys came and fixed ac but chipped the paint on my ceiling. my carpet is stained black from the mai fence men’s shoes and they show up on days when i tell them not to as i’m not comfortable being alone in the house with strangers. it seems as if i have termites since the “wood” seems to be rotted and in bad shape. we have mold that has spread all down my kid’s bathroom wall but where would i go in the meantime for them fixing that? during the summer i can never hang out on my balcony due to wasps every year. my bathroom sinks drain slowly and i am constantly fixing it. the shower water has been cold all winter. the cupboard doors keep falling and they refix it. i’m just exhausted. i’m a stay at home mom and i just want to live in a home that feels like home. i clean every day but it’s stressful when my home isn’t in good shape to begin with. especially since i’m worried if i put work orders in they’ll continue to just show up on the days i said i’m unavailable."
"I am extremely disappointed with the Meadow Glen Team. When my roommate and I had signed our lease, Ryan (who is very wonderful), one of the members of the leasing team had recommended we use Bilt to pay our rent each month, as you can earn points, that can be used for rewards or getting a certain amount off of rent. So, we have been using Bilt, issue free, for the last 11 months. February rolls around and for some reason I am charged twice for rent. I immediately call the leasing office and leave a voicemail. I receive a text shortly after stating that the leasing team has "No way to refund" my funds back to me, and that I need to reach out to Bilt in order to get my money back. I reach out to Bilt who stated that my funds have already been deposited into Meadow Glens account, and that the only way to issue a refund is to go through property management. I relay this information over to management who then starts to push the blame on me, asking if I submitted two separate payments - Which why would I do that?? I do not have the funds in the first place to pay double my rent. Eventually, management states the only way for them to issue a refund is for them to call corporate and have them write me a check, which would take upwards of 3 weeks to receive. Which in this economy, that simply will not due, my entire paycheck vanished in an instant, against my will. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in how the Meadow Glen team handled this. I should not have had to call my bank in order to resolve an issue the apartment complex and their payment system made! I will admit, this is a pretty decent place to live. I have not once seen roaches, and the courtyards have always been well maintained. It is fairly difficult to get a technician to fulfill a service request however they are short-staffed, so how can I blame them? But the leasing manager being unable to resolve this issue is extremely unprofessional, and borderlines robbery."
"I am really trying to like it here especially since Ryan in the front office is so nice, and I signed a 12 month lease but it's been hard since I moved in a couple weeks ago this is definitely not a luxury complex like the website states and I do understand it's an older complex built in 1986. I didn't get to actually walk through my specific unit prior to lease signing, I was mislead and told I was getting a completely renovated 2bdrm/2bath unit for $1638/month which is $400 more than their cheapest unit, it does have new stainless steel appliances (does not include the washer and dryer, my washing machine doesn't even work actually and is falling apart. They did order me a new one but as of 1/24/24 there's no date of delivery) sink, and new counter tops and fixtures, but all the cabinets were just painted over, severe water damage and all. There were no toe kicks on my cabinets in my kitchen and I requested for them to fix that after my walk through the day before I moved in but there is no date for that to be fixed either because they have to go through the flooring company that did their flooring. There's mold on the ceiling in my kitchen, the ceiling around my return vent for my AC unit looks like there was leaking going on and I pushed on the ceiling there and the dry wall is brittle makes me nervous for the summer months. My doors to both my bedrooms have gaps in them and don't even really shut, don't have matching handles on my doors either which the handles are cosmetic but still I am paying for a nicer unit I kind of expected things to match. My sons closet door is broken and I brought that to the offices attention after my walk through but it was never fixed.my closet door didn't have trim on the top part but they did fix that prior to move in. Nothing was caulked, all my kitchen cabinets had gaps where they should've been caulked, my toilet in the guest bathroom is half caulked in the front of the toilet but not the back part after bringing attention to it not being caulked at all in my walk through also the vents above the toilets are dirty and barely work and also were not caulked leaving a huge gap between the vent and the ceiling. I went through and caulked everything myself. The sliding glass doors do not keep the cold or sounds out. I hear people talking on the side walk on union hills with my doors shut. I assume in the summer the rooms will get super hot too the weather stripping is bubbling up. In my opinion this unit was not move in ready and it was definitely NOT renovated. Refreshed at best and there was 2-3 weeks between me getting approved for this apartment and moving in, more than enough time to get things move in ready. My unit was also supposed to have been cleaned prior to move in but it wasn't, my showers were dusty/dirty and the toilets still had urine drips down the front presumably from prior male tenants. there were food crumbs and stains in the kitchen cabinets. Luckily at this time I have not seen any roaches, like one of the other reviewers mentioned. I am super paranoid, I don't want them and I am terrified of them. I did lay boric acid everywhere and have been super clean and taking my trash out every morning when I leave for work. As well as caulking all the gaps they can use as entry into my apartment. I did see their carpet guy cutting carpet pad outside in the rain yesterday so that's probably gonna cause mold in the unit that pad is going into. PROS: My neighbors are all very nice and helpful. The grass is green, and the landscape is very well maintained. You get an assigned parking spot which is nice. As of 1/24/24 no sign of roaches. I know there are some reviews about kids being loud but I don't mind that, I like seeing kids out playing. I do feel pretty safe here and there is a sense of community here. Ryan is helpful, and very nice. She definitely seems like she cares about the residents here. CONS: Everything I posted in my experience above, plus not a whole lot of guest parking, seems like maintenance half-assess their repairs. popcorn ceilings."
"I have lived here for a few years now, and the experience has been great. My maintenance requests are handled quickly and by great technicians. The grass and trees and bushes are well kept weekly, and me and my neighbors pets quite enjoy it. The staff here in general have been friendly and helpful with every interaction I had. I feel my money has been well spent to live here and I am for sure going to renew my lease again!"
