"My 96 year old mother fractured her knee and Dr. Erickson was recommended by our Primary Physician for follow-up. From the signing -in staff, to the medical assistants, to the Xray personnel in this office, everyone was incredible. My mother was seen by Dr. Erickson, as well as by Dr. Mansfield (Emergency Medicine) and Dr. Fishman during the two times she had scheduled visits. They were all extremely knowledgeable, caring and spent an enormous amount of time with us. They performed a thorough exam of her fracture, asked questions, answered all of our questions and were 100% dedicated to us during our time in the office. I cannot say enough how wonderful it was to have these physicians be available to us. I am a Cardiac/ICU nurse and am now practicing in clinical research trials worldwide. I am accustomed to working with all types of physicians and surgeons in all indications of medicine all the time. This entire team is truly at the top of my list of exemplary physicians and I would never hesitate to provide their name to anyone seeking orthopedic care. Thank you for your dedication!"
"Dr Erickson is not a spine doc. He's an internist board certified in sports medicine. Do NOT go to him for spine problems!! I've had 2 fusions. I know what spine pain is and what nerve impingement feels like. He wanted to put me on 3 - 4 months of physical therapy and refused to order an MRI because of my prior fusions. I knew that was wrong when I had lost most of the reflexes in both Achilles, had pain down my leg and pain that radiated around to my hip. My x rays showed severe arthritis in my low back and a fusion, but he said they "didn't impress him." His manner was perfunctory, close to disrespectful. I highly doubt he would allow a male colleague to go through that kind of pain without a full investigation. I basically fired him and went to Mayo. They tried steroid injections and couldn't get one into L4 because the space in the spinal canal was too narrow from all the bone overgrowth inside my spine. The MRI that they ordered immediately shows that surgery is the only alternative. Dr. Erickson is one of those dismissive docs MANY women are familiar with, who assume our symptoms aren't what we say they are, and it was obvious during our discussion. He might be fine for a pulled hamstring, but do not trust your spine to him. Go to a board certified Neurosurgeon, or at least a board certified orthopedic."
