"Tracy Schelle and the other Wellness Tree administrative staff should be ashamed of themselves and their policies. Avoid this office at all costs. If you struggle with your mental health this is not an understanding or caring place and there are so many other providers who would actually be happy to help you. They refuse to refill my medications, medications I have been on for years because I "missed" an appointment and then was out of town unable to reschedule for a couple weeks. I had last seen Tracy just three weeks prior. There is no reason for her to withhold prescriptions that are not controlled substances and are not new. Thus I have been out of medication for two weeks now. Concerning my "missed" appointment, in actuality, I had to cancel this appointment with them, but they did not cancel it on their end and said I had no proof so they charged me 150$ for the missed appointment which is insanely excessive, I have never been to a provider anywhere that charges this much. Even before this experience, Tracy was extremely uncaring and never asked questions about my personal life, never expresses care or concern like various other providers I have seen. She comes off very cold and honestly bored like she does not wish to even speak to you. Lastly they are not responsive I have called them multiple times and sent emails to try and address these issues but they only respond or call you back when it suits them."
"Read their patient intake paperwork before making an appointment. The information they want upfront (without providing a HiPAA statement) is excessive. For example: how your mother gave birth to you- normal, C-section or other; Do you have a history of trauma and please explain; and they require a credit card be put on file. In this day and age, you want that information on paper?? For a practice to require that information without any privacy agreement, nor a full copy of your office policies, and I haven't met the practitioner nor made the decision to seek ongoing treatment with your office?? Your office needs to rethink it's business practices. I learned the hard way that anyone that wants my info, without any assurances, and before agreeing to ongoing services, is not worth my healthcare dollars. Patient beware-i cancelled my appointment. Response to owner: Could you please direct me to the spot that clearly states a patient's information is held in your EHR, whatever that is, that meets HIPPA standards? That was not clearly stated on your site when I visited it. I stand by my review. A hostile response from a mental health provider is yet another HUGE red flag."
"I've been over billed and have been trying to rectify it for over 6 months but no one will get back to me or just makes excuses and says I need to prove it to them. Asked for a statement of account and they refused to provide one. Asked my provider to help and still got nowhere."
"I started going to willow tree for during quarantine - let’s all be honest with ourselves, we ALL needed a bit of help during this time. However, prior to willow tree, I didn’t understand the true importance or the difference in outcomes when seeking specialties, body or mind. My experience with Tom, Christian, and all other staff have always been incredible. Unlike other large corporations available in this area, willow tree doesn’t see patients as just another number. Treatment has been individualized, they take the time to truly listen to your cares & concerns, and do what they can to accommodate your specific needs. The care is truly centered around the patient. I have, and will continue, to recommend willow tree for people seeking counseling or psychiatry!"
"I had a terrible experience with this practice as a single dad where I was treated completely different than the children’s mother. Even though I have joint legal custody and equal parenting, I was told by the practice their policy is they do not recognize family court orders, they only need the consent of one parent to treat the kids. (Every single therapist we have seen since then has told us this is wrong.) Their practice policies required that I be setup as a patient just to meet with my kids’ therapist meanwhile I found out during our family court discovery that the therapist Shelley Geary was actively emailing, texting, speaking by phone, and meeting in person with the children’s mother, while she was ignoring my attempts to contact her. When I contacted owner Denise to inquire why my children’s therapist was not responding to me she said I was not in the “circle of care”. I was never given an intake, never signed consent forms, was never given a treatment plan, etc. The therapist coached my 12 yr old daughter at the time to refuse parenting time and not come to my house. She is turning 15 this month and we are still estranged. I filed a complaint with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) and they found Shelley Geary in violation of multiple statutes including ethics, and suspended her license for the way she treated me and handled our situation, all under the direction of the owner Denise Stewart. During our Board hearing one of the member’s stated their was clear bias toward the mother. I am sharing my experience so other single dad’s in a similar high conflict situation with an ex wife are aware of how this practice treated me as the father compared to the kids’ mother."
