"Very unorganized agency and disappointed with this clinic. Every time I go in there, we are half heartedly welcomed by a very tired and unkept women who appears to be having the worst day or her life. She does her best to put on a fake smile for my kid when i'm there but her poor hygiene is a concern. The kids never seem to have any structure and the director is never around. The BCBAs never have clear answers and are inexperienced to say the least with their profession. They give a good tour and then the true colors come out with the care our child is receiving. Ive asked around and its the same director running all the centers doing a lot of underground behavior behind the scenes. Stay away from this agency if you are wise."
"My son loves going to “school” he definitely enjoys the time he spends here! He has made so much improvements in less than 1 year. His communication abilities have improved so much. In the beginning of his therapy he was non-verbal, they started working on expressive id with him and now he isn’t afraid to say “no!” he is so much more confidente and is thriving."
"Life Skills Autism Academy is the WORST therapy company in the world. They have a negligent system. My 4 yr old son with non-verbal autism had a fall there where he hit his head and had a cut between his eyebrows which required 5 stitches in the hospital (the hole was as deep as the nail on his little finger). Families pay money for each child to receive daily therapy by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) or at least a Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) because the company charges money for providing the ABA Therapy. But the company does not gives a service with high quality according to the high price they ask to the families. My son was only in that therapy center for 3 weeks until he fell there and suffered injury. My son had two young 'therapists': each of them spent 4 hours a day with my son. My son's assigned morning 'therapist’ missed work at least 4 times in a three week period. The company 'solved' this situation by placing an unknown 'therapist' for my son, without consulting me beforehand. THIS IS EXTREMELY RISKY AND DANGEROUS because the new 'therapist' doesn't know my son. The day my son fell in that therapy center, the operations manager called me on the phone to tell me that my son was bleeding on his face and that I had to go to the therapy center to pick up my son and take him to the hospital. I live 20 minutes from the therapy center and I asked that manager to take my son to the ER at the nearest hospital and I would go directly to the hospital so as not to waste any more time, but she told me that she would not do it. I asked her if I could call 911 so they can help my son while I drive to the therapy center, but the manager told me no, and she hung up on me. One day after the negligence, I asked for the copy of the video to find out what my son's fall was like, but the company said THERE ARE NO CAMERAS. The next day my husband went there in the morning and asked for the formal INCIDENT REPORT and the company DID NOT DELIVER IT. They didn’t have any report in that moment (2 days after the negligence!!) and the clinical director just forwarded him that afternoon the email of the new 'therapist' who was with my son that day. In that email she says that my son tripped over a wooden piece and fell and when he fell he hit his head against the shelves and received a cut between his eyebrows. But THEY LIED because my husband went to the therapy center and made a hidden video where the clinical director recognized that my son tried to stand on the wooden piece, but THIS PIECE WAS BROKEN and that's why my son fell and received the cut between the eyebrowns. They were scared of the legal consequences of their negligence and carried the broken wooden piece out of the therapy center. But my question is WHY THEY DIDN’T REMOVE THE BROKEN WOODEN PIECE BEFORE THE FALL OF MY SON?? Any other child could fall and suffer cuts to the face or body or even suffer a blow to the head and die. What kind of therapy center does not prevent danger and protect our children?? THIS COMPANY NEVER TOOK ANY RESPONSIBILITY for their negligence. It was a traumatic and painful experience that has had terrible consequences for my son: he feels pain all the time in his head and has started to harm himself after he suffered the negligence in the therapy center. This case is in the hands of our lawyers because we want to go to court and that this company receives a sentence as a legal consequence of its negligence. I write this testimony so that no family suffers the same as us and that their children never suffer any damage. I have all the photos and videos and I can send them to any family that writes me."
"The clinical director, Eunice is amazing! Extremely professional and open-minded. The clinic is very organized, clean and the location could not be any more perfect. The kids are definitely a priority here!"
