"I would give negative stars if it would let me. Unfortunately, this once wonderful office has gone downhill fast since merging with Village Medical. They tell you to use the patient portal to communicate but it appears they don't look at it. Been waiting a month for a response to a billing issue. Prior to that, I had an issue that took them three months to rectify. Be warned they like to code incorrectly which results in a ridiculously high bill! As much as I loved my doctor, sadly, I must begin to look for a new one that isn't affiliated with Village Medical."
"I am angry. Angry that Thunderbird Internal Medicine - aka Village Medical - has kept my credit card on file, and has arbitrarily billed my credit card… despite my payment made at my physician’s office. The doctor’s office showed an outstanding balance of $200. The TIM emailed three separate notifications, and billed my credit card $150. NO BILL WAS RECEIVED THROUGH THE MAIL TO SHOW THE PROPER CHARGES AND THE AMOUNT DUE. So beware if you do business with this healthcare provider. I will be seeking to have this matter resolved first thing Monday. And I will be contacting the State’s Attorney’s office to inform them of what’s occurred; and if formal complaints may be filed against them. I’m also concerned of any possible HIPAA violations in dealing with their call center. There’s no need for them to be asking for a patient’s DOB, or the nature of their call (medical condition or concern). They need to direct the patient’s call to the doctor’s office — where medical staff will discern the identity of the patient by asking the same questions. Unbelievable the unprofessional service by TIM/VM. One more thing, I’ve called and left a message at the healthcare provider’s billing service. No return call was received to discuss this matter; and to inform them that I do not recall signing an Agreement to grant them permission to keep my credit card information on file, and to bill my card as they see fit. I hope they see this review, and will respond as soon as possible. For they’re not responding to calls, messages, or inquiries made at my doctor’s office. Sincerely, One Irate VM patient."
"I've been going to Thunderbird Internal Medicine for close to 25 years. Never had any issues. Was always informed if doctor was running behind. Staff was extremely helpful. Ever since they became Summit Medical Group they have gone downhill. Today was the worse. Sad to say but seriously considering finding someplace else for the family. No one should have to wait an hour, with a fragile family member, to see the doctor without an explanation of how far the doctor is running behind (asked three times with no response). Then to watch staff standing around shooting the breeze on top of it. So unprofessional. Love the doctors but cannot sit in a waiting room forever especially with the virus situation. Hope my loved one didn't catch anything while we waited so long. (Rescheduled the appointment after 75 minutes sitting there with no explanation)."
"My first impression of the office are poor. I am a diabetic and my Dr, who is wonderful, moved to this medical practice. I can't get in to see her for a month because they consider me a new patient. I have to get new scripts for those that are expiring. So I will have to go back to my GP to have them write the scripts. I am not a new patient for my Dr. This is rediculous. There will be no extra testing than a regular diabetic visit. They will just have a little more paperwork, no a little more data entry. So customer service is not great and care for the patient is poor."
"If I could, I would give this medical group zero stars. However, I can't, so I will take this opportunity to warn others considering this group. I scheduled my first appointment two months ago (first available appointment was a little over two months in the future). It is now a week before my appointment and I just received a call from the office informing me that they would need to reschedule. First available appointment is June 2020! If the office can't or won't notify prospective patients that they aren't accepting new patients or think that an appointment 7 months in the future is appropriate then I don't want this office to take care of my medical issues. What happens if I'm sick? Do I still wait 7 months to see someone? I'm better off going to an urgent care, at least they will see me this year. Don't waste your time trying to get in with this group!"
