"I really like Dr. Foltz and would recommend him to anyone needing a neurologist. However I’m not impressed with his staff. I’ve had problems receiving my medication due to insurance not covering it. The pharmacy and I contacted them for over a month before this was resolved. Now 10 minutes before my appointment I am told my referral is no longer valid. I made this appointment over two months ago and was never told this. I also told the front desk that I found that strange because I received this referral this spring and have only been seen twice. They asked me to sign a document to be seen today because if my referral doesn’t go through they want me to pay out of pocket. I refused and needed to reschedule. The front desk also said they had reached out to my primary for a referral request and had not heard back from them. To which I asked what day they reached out so I could follow up on this matter. The gentleman and lady said they put in the request this morning. I was astounded that they didn’t reach out to my doctor months or weeks prior but kept that to myself and rescheduled. When I got home I called my primary to find out about the referral and was told my current referral is good until March of 2024 but they would re-fax it to make sure I didn’t have this problem again. I waited a while before calling Dr. Foltz office again to follow up on this matter and was told they don’t have any referrals for me, not even the old one. She said they would call me prior to my appointment and let me know if my referral had gone through which I pointed out didn’t happen today. This didn’t seem to register with her. Needless to say I think the disorganization of his office is saddening and unprofessional. I would be wary about your time being wasted. Hopefully he can find better staff."
