"Seventeen months ago I started having problems with my Sciatica, lower back pain and my right hip. I went to a Orthopedic Surgeon and he had me get a MRI and the results were, my lower spine is narrowing and my right hip has spurs and a Stress Fracture. My hip bone is healthy and not deteriorating. My Doctor said he is worried about me and didn’t want to do Surgery on my hip for now. I am 72 years young and the pain was starting to get to me. I had to start using a cane and I couldn’t walk around the block anymore. My Mother and Sister and Neice who live in Phoenix, Az. have been going to Dr. Andrew Wen for a few months. I live in California and got on a plane in a wheelchair and arrived in Phoenix the end of March 2023. By this time I had to use a walker for support as I walked in to Dr. Wen’s office. He took one look at me and knew Exactly what my problem is, my posture and I have Scoliosis. My first session with Dr. Wen, helped me get on my feet and slowly walk up and down the hallway. I am Extremely Right Handed and my Right Shoulder is leaning forward. He has given me 12 Exercises to do that is helping me pull my Right Shoulder back. I also have TMJ and in 3 weeks I received 9 Acupuncture sessions. Dr. Wen’s procedure is very relaxing. He kneads the areas where I have the most trouble and inserts gauge 32 needles with No Pain. After a few minutes of resting, he removes them and puts moist pads of heat on my skin, which is Very Soothing. Afterwards he rubs the area again and then he puts healing Chinese Pads on my skin that stay on for 12 to 15 hours. In those 3 weeks, I received 4 Massages with May. She is Outstanding and understands exactly where the tight knots are in my body. Dr. Wen suggested I buy Pedi Couture flip flop shoes, 1/2 pound ankle weights, a daytime upper mouth guard and an inversion table, which I have done. The relief I feel from pain has changed my life! No more cane, No more walker. When I sit in my comfy chair, I get up after an hour and walk for a few minutes with my Right Shoulder back. This is the key to my success! (One more note, I have been going to Acupuncture for a few months in California before I met Dr. Wen. Yes, I was getting a little relief but Nothing like the care I received with Dr. Wen.) "Best acupuncture in North Phoenix. He performs acupuncture, but also educates you on why you are hurting. I was 1.5 years in pain and after 7 weeks with Andrew I feel like I wasted a LOT of time and money (insurance money too) doing it the "normal" American way. I wish I had only found out about him early on. My advise, go to him FIRST! I had wasted time on physical therapy, dry needling (OUCH - for those who say dry needling goes deeper and helps more, I have had both and acupuncture has helped me 10 times more than dry needling did and I maxed out dry needling sessions. GIVE Andrew Wen a chance, you will not be disappointed, other than not going to him sooner.
