"I had total hip replacement with Dr Dixon in Feb 2024 at Camp Lowell all of the nurses were caring and knowledgeable. Rachel Briggs had me come in prior to surgery to go over procedure. It was good to see that they were all on the same page as Dr Dixon office. It is truly a team effort to have success with my surgery."
"I am so grateful for Dr. Karl Rosen and his fabulous team! Before I had the cataract removal/ new lens implant procedure, it was like looking through wax paper. My night vision was also impaired, so it was unsafe to drive. It felt like such a miracle when, 24 hours after the procedure, I had 20/20 vision and I could see everything clearly again! I'm so happy to be able to resume all the activities I love; writing, painting, and sewing in fine detail, and my night vision is restored to normal so I can drive again! Dr Rosen is a gifted Ophthalmologist and Surgeon who is extremely focused & competent and at the same time, he is kind, humble & considerate to his patients & to his staff. I felt so comfortable & safe before, during & after the procedure which was surprisingly quick. On the day of surgery, I was nervous, but not for long. From the moment I arrived, Dr Rosen's team took good care of me. Front desk Patricia, who made the appointment, greeted me with her warm smile and helped me with new patient documents and insurance. Medical staff members Cassidy & Luke, Anesthesiologist Dr Farmer, Surgical Assistants Stephanie & Jared & Post-op Nurse Tera we're all so sweet, thoughtful, comforting & funny, they put me at ease while they paid attention to the accuracy of each detail. Every step of the way, I felt safe & well cared for. All of the team members got along with each other so well it was a very pleasant environment to be in. Now every time I open my eyes, I am reminded of what a miracle it is to be able to see! It wasn't too long ago that people with cataracts would eventually become blind. I'm so very thankful for this technology & for the exceptional care I received! I highly recommend Dr Rosen & his Remarkable Team who used their time & talents to help me. Each new day, Before Dawn & after Sunset, when I look up to the night sky, I can clearly see all the beautiful stars & I continually Thank God for His precious gift of sight!"
"My grandpa has cataract surgery When they called me to pick him up because he was ready they stated just to come in and tell them I’m there The staff at the check in desk ignored me for the first 5 minutes discussing false eyelashes. I was asked who I was and why I wasn’t wearing a mask when the ladies behind the desk had theirs down below their chins. I agreed to wear a mask then they asked me to fill out forms disclosing my medical records regarding covid and all my vaccination information when I was not their patient When I was attempting to fill out whatever they asked me to fill out they called my name and referred to my grandfather as a different name that wasn’t his. As I tried to correct the staff that he was not who they kept saying he was I was asked if I’m taking him home or not They did not wheel him out in a wheel chair they insisted he walk as he stumbled and almost fell outside. I am considering filing a complaint Very unprofessional and not very comforting to know they had him confused with another person"
"I experienced great service by the nurses and doctor at the Camp Lowell Surgical Center. However, the administrative and financial experience was a complete disaster. 1. I was never provided an invoice for services. Instead I received phone calls saying, in essence, you owe $x how do you want to pay? 2. The experience required 2 days, one for each eye. I was told the cost and Medicare payment over the phone with no invoice. I thought I was done. No, I later learned the payment made was for just one eye. 3. I recently received an invoice indicating I have a remaining balance. For the first time, I received a listing of the charges. The two documents were identical except one showed "paid in full" and the other showed a remaining balance was indicated. Finally I realized there were separate charges for each eye though the documents made no reference to right or left eye. Finally, the care by the nursing staff was great but the administrative process was vague and unprofessional."
