"The stars are for the audiologist only - she seemed very competent. The poor rating is for my office experience. I made an appointment there because I lost one of my very expensive hearing aids (over $3000 each). I only needed to replace one of them. My insurance on them expired 1 month prior to the loss. During my exam I reiterated that I only needed one new hearing aid. After my appointment I was told that my insurance would only pay for 2 new hearing aids in order to get my benefit. I chose to wait and called my insurance company the next day. They told me that my benefit would cover either one or two hearing aids and that the practice simply needed to send in the paperwork for the one hearing aid. I chose to go to another practice where this was not an issue. I have recently received a small bill (after insurance) from Arizona Hearing Specialists for the exam completed in June 2023. I am not happy with my experience there. I feel they tried to force me to spend thousands of dollars unnecessarily."
"I just bought new hearing aids and I am thrilled that I did not go for the cheaper ones. I have them in my ears for the first time and they are terrific. Also, the care and concern that the staff has is truly professional and friendly. Let any of the licensed audiologists check your hearing. It is extremely thorough. Rhonda S"
"My mother-in-law was fortunate enough to have found Arizona Hearing Specialists so when my mother agreed it was time for her to get hearing aids, we went to Arizona Hearing Specialists. The results have been amazing, truly life changing. Dr. Swingle is incredible. He was patient, competent and kind. He carefully helped my mother choose the right hearing aids, fitted them and gave her the support necessary to use them well. The results have exceeded our highest expectations. I cannot recommend Arizona Hearing Specialists highly enough!"
"These people are Amazing. I'm new to hearing aides, Adriana J. Sanchez, Au.D.took such great care when testing me and guiding me through my new 'CyberEars' (my son's nickname for them). I had some struggles with insurance and PCP, and Breanna and Shelly were relentless in getting my paperwork pushed through and approved. Glad I found this kind, professional group."
"Dr. Swingle and all of the office staff are great! She is highly knowledgeable, including all the IT issues and edge cases of using Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids with various combinations of phones, computers, etc. I never felt like I was getting a sale pitch, and I ended up getting a high-quality set of hearing aids for much cheaper than the other provider I looked at (who was very much giving a sales pitch). I had a hearing test done previously that was recent enough to use, and they didn't complain or pressure me to redo one with them just so they could get paid. Cannot recommend Dr. Swingle and her office highly enough. Regarding hearing aids, I'm significantly on the younger side to be getting them, but if you're thinking at all that you need them, go check it out. I've had mine for a month and it has already been a huge quality of life improvement. Being able to "turn the volume up" on a conversation when you're having trouble hearing, or turn it down if you're somewhere noisy and don't need to hear e.g. on a plane when you want to read or sleep, is like having a super power!"
