"I never thought I would find myself at an acupuncture place until I threw my back out. After days of pain and not being able to walk well, I called a friend who has had back issues. He told me the only thing he found that gave him relief was acupuncture. I was desperate, so I hobbled into Tucson Acupuncture Co-op and left walking and in a whole lot less pain. I even went to dinner with my wife the night. I am still amazed at how quickly the relief came. Cate (the acupuncturist) was very calming, and I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. I've been back for a follow up treatment and have another one scheduled. The process of scheduling and keeping track of appointment is fast and easy. "The atmosphere of this establishment is beautiful and calming. I immediately felt relaxed just walking inside. The affordability of this service is so generous and helpful for people like me who could not otherwise afford acupuncture. Even though the service is affordable, it does not feel like you are getting a lesser form of service. There was a substitute doctor when I went, but she was so respectful and asked great questions and had a demeanor that helped me feel safe. After the appointment I was so relaxed, my neck felt better the next day. My anger was reduced significantly. I had a wonderful meditation and nap during the part where I was sitting in a comfy chair. They let me stay in that chair for a long time and until I felt truly ready to end my session. I was amazed by how much time flew by and I was surprised that something so affordable would let you luxuriate in the service for so long. They also sell locally made herbal medicines in the lobby and there are really interesting books to read. I am so relieved they have the mask policy they do because it helps me feel safe. A healing environment needs to be inclusive and healing for everybody and requiring the level of masking they do allows people who are high-risk or nervous about the pandemic to still receive the care they need. I will be returning to this establishment again and again and I am so grateful for everyone who works there, the way I was treated, and the healing I received. It’s also so beautiful, clean, and smells amazing. What a local treasure this place is."
