"After giving birth at TMC, Barrio Babies was recommended by the hospital LC’s if I needed support with breastfeeding. I had so much trouble in the beginning and desperately wanted to make things work. Angelica was so kind, encouraging, and helped me every step of the way. She immediately identified my son’s tongue tie and we came to the decision to clip it. We then continued to do weighted feeds and after showing me the techniques (while always being super patient every appointment since it took me a while to get things right) I finally got everything down thanks to her! Angelica also tested my blood and was able to identify why I wasn’t producing enough. She guided me and assured me I was doing everything I could which helped a lot, especially being freshly postpartum and hormonal it can be so discouraging when things aren’t going as planned! I’m sure I would’ve given up if it wasn’t for her assistance. All of the staff were super friendly every time and I love the ability to book online and get a fast appointment. I can’t recommend her enough for your breastfeeding journey!"
"Angelica was so sweet and patient with us! We went for our initial visit the day after we were released from the hospital with our newborn. The next day we made a lactation appointment and she again was so nice and helpful. She saw I was engorged and in pain and she did the ultrasound heat therapy on my breast to break it down and a lot less painful. I would highly recommend her! Angelica took great care of us and her front desk staff Eric is also very welcoming and professional"
"We were referred to Barrio Babies by our pediatrician for our newborns tongue tie. We were so thankful for the recommendation! Angelica was professional and very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and calming. We were not sat in the waiting area very long- after signing the paperwork we were taken to a room where we were able to wait comfortably. Angelica also followed up with us the next day which we appreciated."
"Angelica and her practice have been such a blessing and fills a huge void in our community. It’s hard enough recovering from a C-section with a toddler at home, but finding professional medical help during the holidays when most clinics were closed to help navigate breastfeeding, a newborn with a posterior tongue tie and mastitis is hard to come by. The transitional care she provides is what medicine would look like in an ideal world. With Angelica, her care is comprehensive of both mom and baby’s needs and eliminates the need to drive to multiple different specialists and clinics. She provides a convenient access to medical care and does so with the most genuine kindness and compassion. You can tell she really cares about her patients and the community and my only regret is that her practice wasn’t open when I had my son."
"We saw Angelica and she was amazing! SO HELPFUL and encouraging. She clipped my baby’s tongue tie, gave good direction for breastfeeding, talked about a plan for pumping when I was back to work to maintain supply and did my baby’s first checkup out of the hospital. Angelica is exactly the person new parents and babies need."
