"My daughter went into your clinic yesterday to get her FLA signed by her PCM and got zero help. No she got a strep swab after she told them she didn’t have strep anymore. As a retired veteran of this country I’m ashamed of what our healthcare has become. Instead of helping my daughter you told her to make another appointment and proceeded to talk behind her back with the door open. Disgusting Dr. Shem. Don’t bother responding to this complaint because nobody picks up the advocate number. I’m paying you a visit and calling TRICARE."
"They will call you at the time that is convenient for THEM. God forbid you miss it by a second and try and call them back, because you will be on hold for 5 minutes and then told no one is available. Then you leave a message and dont get called back for weeks! I was told i had a balance to pay, that was news to me, and ive called 5 separate times and given no answer. No call back, nothing. Then you go to check in in person and you have the rudest receptionist who looks disgusted to see you, put down her PERSONAL CELL PHONE and act like she doesnt want to be there. Hands down the most unprofessional, unpleasant, “healthcare” center you can go to. The entire time at my appointment, all my doctor talked to me about was my BMI and how i need to lose weight, even though i told her multiple times i am working out and ive lost 100lbs already. Sickening."
"This place is beyond awful. Dr. Jimenez was the only good part of this place (he was wonderful), and unfortunately left to go to another practice (and I don't blame him). I was appointed a new doctor (a PA), saw him once, and now he has left. For the one time I saw him, he had failed to order routine blood work prior to my visit. I was later billed for a phone consultation regarding the results of the bloodwork (which should have been discussed in person during my physical). Although the office staff is relatively polite - incompetent would be the best description. They do not return phone calls (myriad times over the years). The last time I was there for a physical the receptionist insisted upon check-in that I did not owe a co-pay although I knew I did. Yes, I got a bill for the co-pay a couple of weeks later. I stopped by the office with a check to make the payment. Yet another receptionist was assisting me. As she was processing my bill/payment she was looking very puzzled. She finally asked me, "how do I find the check number on a check?" And these are people running the office? Why would anyone entrust their healthcare to this sort of falderal. And once I was out of state due to the death of a relative. While away I developed a nasty sinus infection. I called this office to ask Dr. Jimenez to please authorize an antibiotic at a pharmacy for where I was at the time. I didn't reach anyone so I left a voice mail. Nothing. Called again - the same. Upon my return two weeks later (the infection was worse) I finally went in there and asked to see Dr. Jimenez briefly. They told me he was not in that day. I said, “I'm standing here and not leaving until I see someone.” They replied, “there are other people waiting.” My reply - “I've been waiting for two weeks with no replies, and I'm not budging from this line until I see or speak with a medical personnel.” The receptionist disappeared for a moment, then called me back into the exam rooms. Dr. Jimenez came in shortly (after I was told he was not there that day). He was FURIOUS with them telling me he wasn't in, and for not being given my phone messages. He asked for my phone number, went and checked the phone log, and said, “yes, I see the dates and times you called.” There's even far more which I will skip over. This sort of nonsense and incompetence is allowed to continue by the office manager(s) and board of directors. Bottom line - where is the “care” in “healthcare” with this facility? My suggestion - go elsewhere as I am going to do."
"I put in a request in July 2022 for a refund as soon as I received notice that my new medical insurance was approved and retroactive to June 1st, 2022. Since notifying UCHC, all I have received is poor communication, inconsistent excuses, and delays. The latest excuse in October was a new one. "The only person capable of processing my refund was on medical leave." That information would have been helpful and insightful to have been informed of months ago, don't you think UCHC??? It is almost November, and a healthcare facility ready to serve seems to ignore my pleas and complaints because I still have not received my REFUND. What Doctor or Lab could a patient visit and tell them "treat me now but bill me later?" NONE anywhere in the world. Finally, after ignoring 2 attempts by the Better Business Bureau and multiple phone calls, I finally received my money from the facility's CFO!!!! Pathetic, and they don't care about your money as much as the customer dies who worked and earned it. I'm glad their drama is resolved, and I no longer have to be treated here."
"I had a follow up appointment last month and given a data three months down the line for another one. I have not had my medication refilled for some reason and when I call nobody ever answers or returns any calls. I take pain medication and have not had any in over a week and still no calls have been returned. I have given up on ever being heard from them ever. They are so unprofessional and uncaring. They should realize that us patients pay their salaries. And after writing this review stating how they don't answer the phone or return any calls they want me to call another number to talk to someone. Talk about passing r h e buck. I having given up on treatment for my diabetes and tumors in my feet because not one person gives two cents about me or my well being."
