"Great first and second experience with Sandra Ulmers office. I work in the medical field so I know how it can be. Expecting things to be delayed due to snow birds and covid, I was very surprised and pleased with the office. I was in and out within an hour of both visits. Granted I’m a healthy person my visits are a little quicker, but all my questions were answered and Sandra went the extra step to find a discounted rate for a Prescription I needed."
"I see Dr Chuhan who is a GI doc. He takes the time to listen and also takes the time to educate the pt about what is going on. He is an awesome doc and highly recommend him as a GI doc."
"I was in the hospital ER on April 15, 2019. I had diverticulitis and was treated with meds and told to Follow up with a Gastroenterologist. The earliest appointment I could get in to see this doctor was May 28, 2019. The doctors office mailed the forms to me to fill out prior to my scheduled visit today. My appointment was for noon today. We were there for about an hour. My BP was taken and the office nurse said that the Dr. hadn’t come in yet. She said he may be at the surgery center or the hospital. After waiting an hour without any communication, we went to the reception desk and said we really couldn’ t wait any longer and you have no idea of where he is and when he will be in. She said that’s right. I said we are going to leave. The receptionist said “ Well alright then”. She didn’t make a suggestion of rescheduling or any thing. She was very curt and couldn’t care less. I’m done with that office"
"My Daughter has been seeing this guy for a few months. She has Chronic constipation and has been in/out of the hospital for months. He has done a Colonoscopy and had ordered a sitz mark test for her on 2 occasions but it never was fulfilled. I doubt that it was ordered. This week she ended up admitted to the hospital. I got a call from her that he had recommended her to a Surgeon for a subtotal colonectomy. This is a life changing operation for a 30 year old! The Surgeon was recorded and twice said He thought it was a radical decision! He came to visit my daughter the next day, I was on the phone enroute to the hospital. He said he had exhausted all medical means of helping my daughter and ask which Surgeon we wanted to have do the surgery. My daughter told him the prior surgeon had left for a week and turned it over to another. He said I'll talk with him and have him come visit you. When I arrived my daughter was in miserable shape and resigned to the fact she had no choice but the surgery. We were preparing her for the surgery and coming to terms with the possibility of a colostomy bag for the remainder of her life. The second Surgeon came in and basically told us he was not comfortable doing such a "radical surgery" and refused to do it. He recommended my daughter go elsewhere and seek a Colorectal Surgeon to give an opinion prior to proceeding. The Hospitalist Dr came and told us the site mark test is necessary prior to going towards surgery, he would order it but she would remain in the hospital for 5 days to finish the test. That is crazy, it is an outpatient procedure. He later told us to get our daughter out of this hospital and to Phoenix for another opinion. The Head Nurse told us the same. In closing, we have filed a formal grievance with the hospital against this Dr. I cannot recommend him nor the Hospital. If I could give him 0 stars I would. As the prior comments have also noted, his bedside manner is non existent."
"Dr Ong-Veloso seems thorough and attentive. I give him 5 stars. I needed a Primary Care Doctor in the area for when we winter vacation here (snowbirds). He is secondary to my primary in Oregon. He took care of my needs and I will use this office when we are here. The office staff did mess up a couple of prescriptions he ordered and I am trying to get that straightened out. I called the receptionist desk yesterday and got voicemail and as of today I have not heard back. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars, the help personnel needs some improvement."
