Reviews of Intermountain Behavioral Access Center - St. George Regional Hospital
"Amazing place i went in historical and out of my mind and I came out feeling great and i am so grateful to the nurses, doctors ,and the techs who Took their time Even when I didn't feel safe Help me feel safe and helped me get better This is an amazing place. thank you"
"They have been absolutely wonderful here with care of my son. I could not have asked for any better care than the care he received here. Between the communications to treatment they were top notch."
"I'm leaving this review to set the record straight about the inpatient mental facilities. From what I understand, it was completely different in the past, and I want to acknowledge that before I tell about my positive experiences. First off, almost all of the staff were wonderful and caring. They got me on meds that helped me immensely, and through the several medical treatments and therapy groups I was able to heal and grow. I can recognize emotions much better, ground myself, as well as look at my past without criticism of myself. I am much more functional, and though I still have to take time to recover mentally, the time inside their unit was much needed. If you are resistant to most antidepressants they will recommend specific treatments using drugs that are proven by clinical trials to help, and those treatments saved my life. The psychiatrist was always willing to listen to my needs and helped adjust medications as needed. I cannot emphasize how deep the connections I made with other patients though. I think that's one of the best parts of the healing, is that you're in there together with others who want to get better as well. It's definitely an adjustment from normal living, but I know there's always a good reason they change your environment."
"The doctor and nurses played with my feelings. They traumatized me. They forced medication in my system and one nurse asked me would I like to read a book of Mormon. I said I'm not Mormon no thank you. She had a stupid grin on her face. They were passive aggressive with me. Some people are demon possessed. It's better you don't go too this hospital for help. They're unprofessional... They don't care about their patients and they'll just make fun of you when you're feeling down. God is witnessing everything:)"
"The only reason I gave two stars is because I had awesome nurses. They were always so kind and helpful. However, the doctor stated on my discharge papers that he spent 35 minutes with me on the day of discharge. Actually, I couldn’t get him to come talk to me at all. The nurse discharged me. Also, it was said in my discharge paper that I attended groups, therapy, recreational activities and one on one therapy. This did not happen. As a matter of fact, the residents walked around the unit for hours upon hours because of the shear lack of boredom and NOTHING to do. I’m shocked that they are able to to say many things happened when they did none of what it said in my discharge papers. I would like to make it clear again, that the nurses rocked and were very compassionate."
