"St. Mary's says they can't make patience comfortable with blankets because of infection control. If they are properly cleaning their blankets as supposed to be this doesn't make sense. Patience s have the right to be comfortable while going through the process. There is no reason for them to have to freeze in the ER day room."
"I have never experienced anything like this ER. While the wait time was to be expected, people are seen in order of urgency. Nothing prepared me for the HIPAA violations once I was called back. I was in a room with 4 other patients. We were all seen by doctors, given our medications, asked personal questions about our health, names and dob/conditions were listed and medication lists were shared. I knew intimate information about the 4 people in the room with me. There was no curtain dividers, nothing. We were staring at each other face to face. At one point I moved myself on to the floor of the hallway because I was too ill to walk, but I felt so wrong hearing the very personal information of another patient. Another patient who was very ill, was shaking uncontrollably from pain and I honestly thought he was going to die in front of me due to his injuries. I don’t fault the staff, there was ONE doctor, ONE!!! How could one doctor possibly care for the amount of patients I saw going in and out of the ER during the 5 hours I was there?! I’m certain other staff was short as well, I saw one nurse the entire time and the rest were paramedics doing iv/fluid bags. Everyone was cheerful, but if I cut my arm off in the parking lot I’d drive to a different ER."
"Thank you for your outstanding service during my pre op on 2/28/24 for my gastric bypass surgery. Arriving at the outpatient center it was clean and well light " Road needs to be repaved" walking in to the admissions office it was clean and sanitize and check in was simple. I waited max 10 minutes to be called back to my pre op room and the nurses were very updated on my health and my pre op prep and etc I will give that a 9.5/10. " Need training on Hard IV placement". My anesthesiologist came in very professional and explained everything to me and one of her colleagues placed the IV without any unnecessary pain. 10/10 Dr. Higa had amazing bed side manners and explained everything to me. 10/10 After surgery once on the floor my nurses were very helpful and understanding of certain things and kinda forgot about me walking 3 hours after surgery but they get busy and I totally understand that. All around I will give y'all a 9.5/10 and will come back to y'all again if I need surgery or a emergency arises"
"The worst ER experience I have ever had. Arrived by ambulance at 2.45pm. I was attended to at about 2am the next day. Left in the Lobby all that time. Very bad tear on knee that needed 37 stitches. While waiting no ice, no way to raise the leg. Arrived home at 4.30am the next morning. No communication between staff and patients. All they could say was, “I don’t know’’. Waited for pain meds for 2 hours times 2."
"I made a long detail review only for my page to refresh and delete everything. So I'll keep try to keep this short and sweet. My dad has had to go to the ER twice this week. Overall, the medical personal in the back of the ER perform an exemplary job. Shout out to Mark at the reception of the ER. He saved the day by assisting my dad to be seen promptly when seeing his critical condition. The other reception staff can do a bit better though. My dad had chest pain one visit and didn't get seen for about an hour and a half after we explained he had sharp chest pain. The other visit he was bleeding from an operation and me and him were left at the front desk for about 10 minutes by a lady at reception after we gave our info with no explanation and were simply told to have a seat when she came back with nothing else to say. We felt desperate and the lady seemed to not care because she didn't listen nor empathize and seem like nothing was going to get done. However, Mark saved our day again and you can tell he is compassionate about what he does. You would wish more people were like this man if you met him. Again, Overall, amazing staff. I didn't emphasis enough how prompt the medical personal were in the back in this review because I made a long review only for it to get deleted by refreshing the page. I felt as if my dad was in great hands both visits after check in. Super thanks for taking awesome care of my dad. Won't forget it."
