Reviews of DEER VALLEY RV PARK
"I stayed at this RV park for 3 months while my house was being remodeled. The park was clean and nice spaces. Location is convenient and shopping was close to the park. Pool, Laundry and shower rooms were nice. There is some traffic noise from I 17 nearby but not bad."
"Tami and the office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for access to all of Phoenix via 17 or the 101. The park and on-site facilities are immaculate and quiet. We plan to return here on a regular basis."
"I’ve read some of the negative reviews and can only assume there is more to the story than the OP shares. We had not planned to stay here, but my wife needed emergency surgery at a nearby hospital and Deer Valley was able to accommodate us. We were in the “beggars can’t be choosy” scenario. This place turned out to be great. It’s quiet (except for some small aircraft traffic which was not bad), very clean and watched over carefully. It seems to be more of a “workers park” rather than a “travelers RV park” (if that makes sense). During the day most folks are gone to a job I assume and even the weekends it’s very quiet. More than happy with this business. Tami who is the only staff we had contact with was always friendly, asked several times over our stay how my wife was doing. Really nice."
"We travel with a 17 year old 5th wheel. We have been absolutely meticulous in maintaining it. We love the build quality and have remodeled it both inside and out. The outside is immaculate and has a great timeless design where most people think the 5th wheel is only a few years old. We have seen plenty of parks that have the 10 year rule. We generally send them an email with pictures and have never had issues being let in. We've stayed at probably 25-30 parks like this. Including some very nice park. Such is not the case here. Doesn't matter what your RV looks like if it is less than 10 years old you aren't getting in. Great thing is that Desert's Edge right across the street also has a 10 year rule and happily let us in. This is the way it should be. Hard pass! Better parks in the area for the same price. This park is nothing special that the other parks around the area don't have."
"TRAVELER, beware. They called me about a spot that opened up, so we took it. I travel for work, so I took a job in this area. We got here and were about to park when they came and told my wife that we would not be able to stay there after tonight. We left, this place isn’t getting a dime from me. I’m not sure why they called me, and approved us to stay at this campsite for 3 months, if our RV wasn’t up to standards. Shouldn’t this be done prior to us showing up?… now we don’t have a place to stay with our camper because of incompetent staff who don’t do their job. I can’t imagine if I were to go to work, and couldn’t do my job that I said I could do in my application. I’m not sure why my family and I are the ones who have to suffer when it was this place’s fault for not asking for pics and following guidelines and policies prior to us showing up and then telling us when we show up. I still have a job to go to, just because you cancelled on me doesn’t mean I just don’t get to go to work. It means, you get 1 more bad review, because I can’t see my family. For the questions below: I’d describe the “hotel” as garbage, none of the options describe this “hotel” at all. Not safe at all, if the electricity can’t handle older RV’s… regulators should really look into this facility. At least they gave a refund for the deposit. The least they could do is let us stay there until we found another spot to stay in, since they approved us prior to arrival. I hope this review helps someone else coming from other parts of the country. To maybe find ANY other campground. The spots are extremely tiny.. I hope no one has the experience we had."
