"I called and spoke with a live person to make reservation for RV site for one night. I arrived Sunday afternoon as planned. Office is not open on Saturday and Sunday; door was locked. I was not given this info over the phone or any special instructions on how to locate paperwork, site, assistance! A resident driving past was kind enough to ask if I needed help. He told me "paperwork should be in the box around the corner". I was looking for a small box but it is actually more of a large desktop area. Got my paperwork with site #. Map did not indicate directions of lanes, sites, nothing. First backed in (tight spacing) before realizing hook ups were on opposite side. Drove around the block so I could pull thru. Banana peels and debris in my site. Big electrical box made it even tighter. Loud humming all night. Resident next door must work at their site OUTDOORS. Tool boxes and equipment being worked on all over the site. Seemed like residents could store anything anywhere and everywhere! Barely room between sites both sides. Kept shades drawn the entire day. The only upside was there was a Superbowl party and I could watch the game. Worst Sun Outdoors stay I have experienced....dirty, small gravel tracks into rig, tight spaces, no rule enforcement. Go somewhere else"
"My family and I stayed here three the summer of 2023, although the pool was a constant issue. The resort was it’s self was great. There is a distinct smell in the air at times, but there’s a slaughterhouse near by what can they do. We definitely come back and I highly recommend"
"Stayed one evening, over the 2024 MLK holiday weekend. We checked in online the night before, and knew the office would be closed due to the MLK holiday. Upon arrival, there was no reservation information, but I had the confirmation email, and the attendant showed us to our site. Because there was no reservation information, we never got codes for Wi-Fi or the bathroom, but we were able to get the bathroom codes by asking around. I get it, it was a long weekend. As far as facilities, this is an RV park meant for extended stays. I would not recommend it for short stays. RVs are very tightly packed in, practically on top of each other. And depending upon your neighbor, they may have an outdoor space set up that encroaches into your slip. There seem to be very nice people who stay here, and we had no issues with any of the neighbors. Even with the constant LED lighting from some of the RVs at night, a simple request to turn it off so we could sleep was met with no problems. As we did not have the Wi-Fi code, I cannot comment on speed of the Internet. I can say that due to the density, cell service can be an issue. We have 5G capable phones, but frequently had to reset the carrier network as bandwidth had slowed to a crawl when we would try any streaming service. Cleanliness was also an issue. But again, I attribute this to the long weekend. Bathrooms were dirty, and trash was piled up in many of the bins. I’m sure during non-holiday periods people are more attentive to it. What was frustrating for me was a safety issue. From the attached photo, you can see in our slip, 621, there was a bolt driven into the ground. Probably for a tent or some other structure. Not sure if it belonged to the neighboring lot, as it very well could’ve been left there by a previous tenant. I’ve tried three times to call the office and to inform them of this. All three times I’ve ended up at the Sun RV corporate office. They were not able to relay a message to Leaf Verde. I’ve given up trying, so I’m posting it here in the hopes that it will be taken care of. You can destroy a tire rolling over this if not taken care of. So, if you find yourself in slip 621, beware. Overall, if you’re looking for a long-term stay, and have small children, this could be an appropriate RV park. They have a great outdoor space for kids, there were plenty of bikes in the streets, and the Pickleball court was used. We did not try the pool, laundry, or lounge. For short term stays, I recommend you go elsewhere."
"I stayed here because they were part of Sun Outdoors and the one I visited in Texas was amazing. Well this place was awful. I came in for business and pleasure. Right after I came in I ended up hospitalized with an illness. When I got out of the hospital the power went out on the rig. Nothing was running accept the microwave and the A/C was on it’s lowest setting. Meaning no thermostat, you just have high, medium or low. So almost no draw on power. My $100 surge protector has literally melted and took the end of my plug and the outlet. Couldn’t find help or reach anyone. So I decided I would stay with a friend nearby. I came back a couple days later and the office was closed again but I found a maintenance person. They looked at it. It was pretty evident there was a problem with pedestal. Now I could have fought to move and this was later offered. But I’m handicapped and that’s a lot of work when you are in terrible pain. So I asked if it could be repaired. I was told they would call the manager and get an electrician out by the following Tuesday. Fine. Well no repair and never got a call. Finally I got ahold of their office manager. She literally laughed. Said that the General Manager was away on vacation and therefore no electrician. She finally offered to move me. At that point I was really frustrated and having just gotten out of the hospital I was in no condition to pack it up, move it and unpack it. Needless to say I paid for a month and never really stayed there. Would never go back again. The repairs on my RV cost about $130 plus labor for an electrician who stated they had a low voltage issue."
