"Really Enjoyed Fort Lowell Days. The museum & all the re-enactment players were very engaging. We spent much of the day there."
"We went to Fort Lowell on a holiday and didn’t realize that until everything was closed. We read all of the signs about the fort but didn’t get to look in the museum itself. Next trip for sure"
"The museum itself was closed for renovations. However, they were having a special event outside with people in period costumes displaying interesting artifacts and sharing historical information."
"Went March 19, 2022 for the living history pop up. Museum in shambles. Displays torn apart ,display pieces gone ,maybe renovating?.......Very, very sad. Building being adobe block just melting away, so is the kitchen building. Kitchen building locked so no access. Re-enactors there in costumes, soldiers, band, weapons displays, active blacksmith display,so that was interesting...... Heard someone say there's been a bond passed for refurbishment and remediation of the museum buildings. Sure hope so. So glad to be able to go inside even just the one building, even in it's state of upheavel. Ft. Lowell Park and Museum is a very special place with so much history in one place. On a side note. If you drive around in the Ft. Lowell neighborhood there are ruins of the old school house, and also homes from that time period, still in use. We find it to be a very special area."
"Stop number 3 on the museum tour of Tucson. The history of this location was interesting. most of the Civil War history in Arizona was brief and anti climactic. It was a good visit to see the historical building on site. The museum is small and quaint which was enjoyable when you visit huge museums. It only took a few minutes to walk through to see the history of the fort. They even had a bugle that you could play after sanitizing the mouthpiece. My reveille needs some work. LOL. The artifacts were informative along with the information about the Native American history."
