The Tombstone Motel

"Wish we would have read reviews before renting our room. The bathroom was sticky with urine around the stool and a good dusting of dirt and lint. The carpet was worn, matted, and filthy. Our bathtub had no stopper to fill water for a bath, which was not a big deal since the tub and shower stall were covered with previous occupants soap scum. On top of the rest the mattress was shot. We will not be staying there agan."

"Cute room with plenty of space. Clean and maintained, but nothing about it is fancy. The tub tap ran continuously, and while happybrhey were renovating the upstairs rooms, we could not rest in the afternoon due to the construction noise upstairs. No internet in our room, and TV channel selection was terrible. Also, when the rooms were paid for we had to return the next day for our change, twice."

"Good location, but that's the best I can say. It was late and we didn't check reviews before we stopped for a room. The room was dirty, we had no bath towels and even our dog didn't want to be on the floor and if she was, she put her nose to the door (no kidding)! I had back surgery at the end of August and i had back pain in the morning, the mattress was not good. In fairness, the owner was in the office when we arrived and explained that they were in the process of upgrading and revamping the units...my advice is request an updated room. Hopefully they are successful in upgrading the rooms, good luck!"

"Larry is an absolute gem and a good man. I was stranded and he went above and beyond to help me. Please never let this guy go! He turned an otherwise miserable experience in to a 5 star review. If you keep staff like this, you don't need fancy amenities. Id trade them all for your greatest resource, quality staff. Keep a mechanic on staff! P.S. take care of Larry, don't be a jerk, and for God's sake tip the man generously. The customer service received for the cost was exceptional."

"Our stay was September 2023. We were very excited to visit Tombstone. Were we looking for a 5 star motel, no, but we were looking for that western charm and a clean motel. We arrived and the man in office was very nice and accommodating. Then we opened the door to our room! The room was awful, dirty matted carpet, dirty wooden blocks were under the bed frame as the legs. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, did it work? We could only hope. The blankets were awful, old, and balled up, the 2nd one had a 10 inch hole in it with stains around it. Did we ask for a new one not a blanket, we asked for another sheet. The bath towel ripped in half when I was drying off. The toilet seats paint was all scratched off in front and back. The couch was so old and disgusting, stains, holes and dirty, we asked for a sheet to cover it. Even with the (holy) sheet on the couch we wouldn't sit on it! The mattress were full of stains, it was absolutely disgusting. There weren't any mattress pads on the beds. Mold on the bathroom ceiling! The rooms needed to be updated completely, new mattresses, bedding, decor, couch and towels. On top of all this the room was pricey. The only good thing I can say about this motel was the location, it was walking distance to the main attractions. This is very sad because the place is very old, but that doesn't mean it has to be disgusting. It could be a great little Motel. I hope this motel is updated soon. I wouldn't ever recommend this motel unless they update this motel."
