"A few hours before my checkout and I am sad to leave. I met the beautiful owners on Sunday where you can tell through this inn that they poured their hearts & souls into. Beyond the photos, this place is breathtaking! I stayed in the Saguaro Suite with privacy, an amazing view of the sunset, and gorgeous view for stargazing! As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at peace here. I don't usually say I would re-stay at places. But this one, I would book again. The grounds and room were clean. The aesthetics of this inn aligns with the Saguaro National Park. I felt like I was in another time. Even though it is off the beaten path, if you are looking for quiet, time to reconnect with self or someone, this place is for you. Please note: ¹An AWD vehicle is recommended. ²Restaurants & stores are about 25+ minutes away. ³Plenty of areas to hike. Or stay at the inn and relax."
"This place is so gorgeous. It represents the best of what the desert has to offer. The pictures--already beautiful--do not do the place justice. It's impossible not to appreciate the way the morning light hits the chollas in the morning and casts a warm, golden hue throughout the kitchen and breakfast space. We (a family of 4 with two young girls) had a great time in the Ocotillo Suite. The owners are so thoughtful in the curation of the space, from the books to the cookware to the blankets. There's even prickly pear tea! Considering how effortlessly cool the space is, I think it's really easy to underestimate the amount of sheer hard work and the million little decisions it must have taken to put together this space. There's so much heart present in what has made the JTH. As for our stay, we struggled mightily venturing out in what was unseasonably cold AZ weather, but JTH offered plenty to do inside. The thermostat was a little weird and the common spaces were sometimes chilly (prob perfect for non-AZ natives), but these are trivial things compared to the overall experience. The hosts are also very receptive and responsive when we did encounter small issues. I'd recommend this place to anyone, especially those wanting to experience the magic of the AZ desert."
"Wonderful retreat from the city life. Beautiful views, peaceful seclusion, canyon pool and hot tub. So relaxing. I LOVE this place. Some notes: The Agave Suite does not have a microwave nor coffee maker. It does have a pour over coffee maker. The shower pressure is low in this suite (probably because of water conservation, drought). The view is lovely from the upper level patios. There is no lamp in the living room, but there is an overhead chandelier light, which is a bit too bright for evening comfort, I prefer soft lamp light for reading. You might want to bring a clip book light. If you go for a walk, bring some tongs and tweezers just in case you accidentally step into a cactus, wear a wide brimmed hat and sunscreen."
"We can’t say enough about our stay and wedding we had at the JTH Tucson! To begin, the property, “Posada”, and all of the rooms are absolutely beautiful and stunning. The pictures on the web don’t do it justice, go see for yourself! Our friends and family were in awe of our wedding site, and everyone really enjoyed their stay at JTH for our extended wedding celebration! The JTH has a calming and serene vibe, that just makes your stay even more magnificent! We’re definitely going to come back to celebrate an anniversary at JTH to feel the magic again. Courtney from JTH was extremely helpful and patient with all of our questions and needs. I’d highly recommend JTH for a weekend get away or a celebration of any event with friends and family!"
"JTH is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are so beautiful and the area is just perfect for any event. I played violin at a ceremony and also played/sang for the cocktail hour/dinner hour here and seriously wanted to get married just to have my wedding here. Absolutely stunning and totally worth walking into the desert for the ceremony. I walked around the property a few times just to enjoy the beauty of it. It’s so calming here, wish I could actually rent a room here. Worth just staying here for any occasion to just relax and regroup. So lovely here."
