"My experience at Red Mountain Resort was generally positive. The resort embodies many of the qualities one looks for in a getaway destination, and I found my stay quite enjoyable. The staff provided excellent service, which greatly enhanced my experience. However, there were a few drawbacks to note. We opted for accommodation on the newer suite side, but unfortunately, the beds were subpar, leading to discomfort and a lingering backache even after returning home. Additionally, we ordered food from the restaurant to our room and found it to be of low quality, despite trying several different dishes. The prices were not reflective of the poor quality. Moreover, our room lacked a door latch or chain, which was concerning for security reasons. This oversight meant that the door could be easily opened if someone accidentally used a key or if housekeeping needed to access the room. This was particularly worrying with a little one inside the room also, because even if the door was locked on inside, you turn the handle and that would pop the deadbolt lock from the inside and your door is open. Despite these issues, I must acknowledge that these are relatively minor grievances. Overall, Red Mountain Resort offers a pleasant experience, and I would rate it between 3.5 to 4 stars."
"I wish I had read the reviews prior to staying here, I booked it because they claim to be a 4-star resort and after my stay saying this is a 2 star is generous. The room felt like a dungeon my window wouldn’t even open, the sink was clogged and wouldn’t work I asked to change rooms for a working sink and better view, I wish I had just gone elsewhere. The new room was the same just a little bigger with two non working sinks, it smelled musty and there was left over food and drink in the fridge from the previous guest. I told staff about these issues which no one showed up to fix or rectify the situation. During checkout I brought it up once again not once did they apologize I was charged 100 extra for the room “upgrade” and the employee only said “well did you tell staff about this?” I said yes and she just said “oh well I guess I’ll speak to my manager” they only knocked $50 off I have all these charges that are “holds” in my card and I’m very very disappointed at this entire stay, rude staff terrible rooms this is far from luxury"
"This place used to care about your health but now only cares about making money. It was a wonderful place when Mark Sorenson owned and ran it. His wife rode his coat trails and had ZERO depth to her character."
"Tranquil, scenic, and full of adventure. This resort is an all-time favorite of mine. I make every moment count by taking part in the multiple offerings of the resort. The Spa!! It's an entire experience - fabulous. The Activity Center has wonderful classes to enjoy. The Dining Hall never disappoints- except I did miss the vegan breakfast meat options this year. Hiking trails surround the resort, so you can explore a new destination each day."
