"I just had the most wonderful experience with Tommy Camper Van's. I am handicapped and use a motorized chair for mobility. I have a Ford van equipped with a lift but my health had deteriorated to the point that I couldn't lift myself out of the driver's seat and into my chair in the back. I had been trying for several years to find a company who could convert the driver's seat into a swivel. I finally found Tommy and made an appointment. They had to do some fabricating, and it took almost a day, but I left with a swivel chair and my freedom back. All the staff are wonderful, so accommodating, friendly, honest, and stand by their word. They think outside the box and if you can visualize it, they can build it. You can't go wrong with using them for your dream van."

"After renting a used campervan for a week, my wife and I decided we would buy one for ourselves. So, I started looking at used vans on RV Trader. One day, a van listing popped up. It was lightly used, good price, and had a roof rack with a logo “Tommy Campervans”. This particular van was too small for us, and wasn’t AWD/4WD, but I decided to take a closer look at the company that built it. We browsed the Tommy Campervan (TCV) website, buildouts, previous build gallery, and decided to give them a call. The next day, we were scheduling a design meeting! At this point, it all seemed too good to be true honestly. We live in Maryland and Tommy Campervans is in Phoenix, Arizona. How can we put our trust in a company we simply found on a couple of google searches? We haven’t even been to Arizona… And, in 2022 there are more than 400 campervan conversion companies out there – surely, we could find something closer to home. That week my wife and I discussed whether we were going to go through with the build. We were visiting my in-laws when I saw a campervan in the corner of a strip-mall parking lot; “Wow, cool build! I wanna go check that thing out”. No kidding, it had a roof rack “Tommy Campervans”. What are the chances of seeing this van, 2500 miles away from their shop, the same week we’re in contact with TCV? I called Mikey and told him the story and he instantly could rift off details about that van. He’s well integrated into the entire build process and has a personal connection to each client he encounters. You're not just another line item on their ledger. That experience really gave us the confidence to push forward. We gave Mikey 2 deposits, one for our build, and another for a van (he also runs a wholesaler for used vehicles and offered to help find us a van too - yes, we came into this empty handed) The used vehicle market is insane right now. Mikey was having difficulty finding exactly what we wanted, to be fair we had a very specific search request - low mileage Sprinter 4x4 170”WB current model year. But, we lucked out and found something locally. he told us to not wait and just buy it. This also left a good impression as he wasn't trying to push a sale through his wholesaler; he was more concerned with us getting the exact vehicle we wanted. We bought the van, he transferred our vehicle deposit to our build deposit, and our van was on a trailer heading to AZ the next day! We put a WHOLE lot of trust in this guy. He had half of our build invoice deposited, and a VERY expensive van heading to his shop, that we had never seen in person… Three days later, I get a call from Mikey, “your van is here, all looks good, we’ll let you know when it’s next in line for the build!” We were so excited to get started! We picked the Bennett build; modified it a bit to include specific electrical components I wanted. Their design team was wonderful to work with, answered all of my questions, and if they couldn’t answer something directly, they would have their electrician or specialist call me back to discuss. Customer service is everything in doing business today. To say they make you feel like you are part of the process is an understatement. The entire team over at Tommy Campervans was amazing. Any hiccup or miscommunication along the way was resolved quickly and completely, and even months after picking up the van they are still in touch to make sure we’re happy with our purchase. 4 months after our van left Maryland on that flatbed, we were on a flight to pick it up! Nothing like a 2,600 mile shakedown trip to get to know your new campervan! A HUGE thank you to Mikey and his team for making this all possible. TLDR: Tommy Campervans is an honest business with quality craftspeople and a genuine care for their clients. Mikey, the owner, made ever effort to make sure we were happy in the end. We absolutely would recommend them to anyone thinking about building a campervan. We put a lot of trust in them and couldn’t be happier with the final result. If we ever build another van, Mikey will be our first call."
