Reviews of CVS Pharmacy
"I’ve been a Walgreens prescription user for YEARS. Partly because I worked at one when I was in college and the other reason is because it’s within walking distance of my office. 2 years ago, I changed health carriers and had to change pharmacies. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with CVS. Always friendly, happy employees that are eager to help you get the best deal on whatever you’re buying! If there’s a coupon or less expensive way to purchase vitamins or your prescriptions, they’re quick to let you know. And their drive through window makes it super easy to get my prescriptions on my way to the office. Super easy, super quick. I love it."
"So, service is very hit or miss at the pharmacy, but usually a miss. This time, it has led me to write this review. Not horrible but it broke the proverbial camels back. I'm never surprised at the lack of professionalism, but this day... Typically, at best, they're short and to the point, fine, whatever. I get it: retail and pharmaceuticals can be taxing and annoying at times. Yet, for WHATEVER reason, they feel like they can say the most off-the-cuff and rude things within earshot. I cannot recall precisely what I heard, but I remember a few times I stared at the techs or pharmacist for making gross or insulting comments while I and others were standing at the register area. Talk about baffling. This particular day, I don't know who it was or the fact they were standing there: an older woman. I was in the drive-thru. I roll my window down, get greeted with a "we'll be with you in a minute," and before I can even say "no problem" or "thank you," the phone is slammed down. Yikes, must be busy. So I'm sitting patiently waiting, maybe 5 minutes, maybe longer, no big deal. Then I hear, "Oh my gosh, I don't know what this lady is doing," or something along those lines. I turn and look, don't see anyone, so I think maybe they're rudely talking about someone else. Nope. It was me she was very clearly talking about. Now, between the glare and the dark tint on the drive-thru window, I could barely see someone making hand gestures, so I stuck my hand out from my windows mesh screen flap (it helps with the glares irritating my eyes, and it's excellent). I'm met with an awkward laugh and a "Oh, our tint is so dark, your window looked closed..." Ma'am, just get me my prescriptions, I'm thinking at that point. I smile, which she probably couldn't see, get my meds, give a half-hearted "uh-huh" at her "apology," and go on my way. Trust me, I wanted to say something, but I figured it would be better to keep my mouth shut to keep the peace and not be rude. I regret not speaking up. Just because you predominately serve an older population doesn't mean everyone is hard of hearing. A simple "Hi, are you picking up or dropping off?" would have worked before you ASSUMED my window was up. You know what they say when you assume. The same goes for going inside, go to the backroom, and run your mouth. I get it, I do, but the bare minimum of professionalism is the least y'all can do. I'm sure this corporation isn't paying you enough to deal with a lot of the BS y'all have to deal with, but dang! I can understand if I gave an attitude or was rude as well. I'd take accountability for it. So, y'all need to take some accountability and work on professionalism. I'm not asking you to be my friend, but sheesh, sometimes I wonder who kicked their dog. Do better."
"Patronizing Pharmacy Prat: I have been filling prescriptions for a long time. A LONG time. At pharmacies across the Western US. Some have been slow, some apathetic, most have been serviceable, and a few have been exceptional. My experience with one particular Pharmacy Tech (name rhymes with Spam) will sit in my "Hall of Infamy" of health care workers from now into eternity. My insurance does not cover a prescription, and so I have been searching for ways to lower its exorbitant cost. It's an ADHD medication, and so discounts are hard to find. GoodRx held some hope, so I downloaded the app and took it to the pharmacy. When presented with the information to input, apparently I had pulled out the wrong screen, so was snapped at for this mistake. She then reacted as if I had asked her to complete the Labors of Hercules when it came to entering the information. This medication has a generic option, which has two basically equivalent names. I work in medicine, and learned this fact early in my training. It seems as though she was never educated of this, and thus informed me in an incredibly condescending tone that I was searching for the wrong medication. It took the Pharmacist to come over and explain that even though I had found the right drug, due to it being under a different (though medically identical) name, I would not be able to get the GoodRx discount. The rest of my interaction her was completed in one word sentences, and I left before I said something I would later regret. She may have been having a rough day either at work or in her personal life. That being said, all of health care has a customer/patient service component and an expected mutual level of respect, She magnificently failed in the knowledge and service aspects of her job. And single-handedly motivated to move all of my present and future medications and purchases to anywhere else than CVS. I have never been talked down to like that. And I will make sure that never happens again. -5 out of 10, would not recommend."
"I wouldn't normally leave a review for a CVS but I have to say they came in clutch with a last minute photo printing for Christmas. An 8x10 was printed and ready to be picked up in less than 15 minutes, that is seriously impressive!"
"I have never experienced a pharmacy staff team that is as kind, efficient and willing to go the extra mile as the team at this CVS. They are always so patient and helpful even when they're clearly swamped. Every single pharmacist and technician. Top notch."
