"Whatever you do, don't make an honest mistake in front of the Manager of this store who has long, black hair. He will chew you out for it, and threaten to call the police on you. We stopped here after a nice week camping at Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Seemed great at first--clean, plenty of room to park our RV, had everything we needed. We filled our gas and propane, and bought a box of DEF. But I will never spend money here again. After topping off my DEF tank, I looked around for a trash can to dispose of the box. Luckily, I was parked near the dumpsters, so I figured I would just toss the box into them instead of clogging up a small trash can with it. I figured that trash would eventually get taken to the dumpster anyways, and would save an employee a trip, right? The dumpsters were behind a gate, which was unlocked. There were no signs saying "Not for customer use" or anything like that. No big deal, right? Wrong. As soon as I touched the latch, an employee of the Shell station (he was filling propane at the time) immediately started yelling at me, asking what did I think I was doing, who did I think I was trying to use the dumpster? He was extremely aggressive and seemed very about it. I tried to explain that I was a customer who was simply throwing away trash from the DEF that I had just bought there, but this guy interrupted me and chewed me out even more. "I saw you, you tried to open that gate and use the dumpster!!" I tried to explain that I was using the dumpster so I wouldn't fill up the small trash cans, but the guy was yelling too loudly at me to hear what I was saying. I asked him where does he want me to throw it, and he yelled at me to put in a can near the gas station. None of this would have been an issue if he had calmly told me that the dumpsters were not for customer use, but this guy was being completely irrational. I was having a nice day, had had a great experience shopping there so far, and was completely shocked by his aggressive, angry behavior toward me. I threw the large box into the trash can (which would eventually be thrown into the very dumpster he was chewing me out for trying to use), and when I walked past him again, I told him he should not speak to paying customers that way. I had just spent 150$ there, after all! His response was, "You'd better leave right now before I trespass you." I am completely flabbergasted. Why be so angry and rude to a paying customer, rather than just inform me in a calm manner? I had no idea I wasn't allowed to use the dumpster. Again, there were no signs saying not to use them, and they were unlocked. I went in to file a complaint to the manager, and was shocked to find out that he was the manager. How does a manager treat his customers this way? I understand if you spend money here, it is very convenient, new, and clean. I will never do so again, as long as this guy works there. I arrived as a very happy customer, and left feeling threatened and angry. I plan to pursue this further, if I can, to file a complaint against him. I will update my review after I do so."
"Yes, they might have higher gas but no one is forcing you to fill up here. I personally go all the way to Fry's anyway. Overall, very good place. Huge drink selection and plenty of coffee space. They sell 110 octane racing fuel which is convenient since the raceway is close. Clean place. They have one water dispenser outside in front. 50c for gal, 1.00 for 3 gal and $2 for 5 gal. They have propane refill station but not sure the price."
"Brand new gas station. This place is very clean and had tons of options but be aware it is expensive. Snacks are about two dollars more each here than any other gas station in the area but I guess it’s the convenience of the location. Perfect place to stop on the way to lake pleasant. I will definitely be back!"
"Brand new, opened today. Very nice Shell station and convenience store. Great selection of drinks decent amount of ice machines and fresh water for the campers/off roaders/boaters. Racing gasoline. They’re $.20 higher than down the road but predictable being the only one. Well lit and a ton of space. Still finishing touches inside. Food and fountain drinks. Lottery machine. Cool new composite handles. Very light. I haven’t seen this type yet."
