"I'm not a fan of the man who was working behind the counter. He checked on us once in the beginning to see we needed anything, but now I see it was to ensure my son didn't break anything. The next two times, he felt it was appropriate to tell me, "Just make sure he doesn't break anything." I said to me, son, "let's go, he's getting annoyed" loudly. My son touched a fabric wallet, a pair of shorts, and a pair of manikin hands that were already on the ground. If you have a problem with children in your store, there should be a sign posted that they are not allowed in. Ridiculous, and again, he broke nothing, and all the things were returned back to their place before we quickly left. I was fuming. I don't care to ever return and will not be recommending him to anyone."

"Mel's is fantastic! A wonderful proprietor and a Bisbee staple. Hassan is absolutely amazing as well. Local stop for picking up a few important grocery items, even local eggs. The building is historic and true to the era and Mel's fits right in. Lots of tourist souvenirs and shirts and treats and usually pretty busy, but always warm and welcoming and they're always open when I need them."
