Short Stop Mini Market

"Full time south side resident. I have been frequenting this store for 9 years. On Thursday, 10/26/23 at 9:05 am I pulled up in front of the store. There were several stacks of beer delivery in the lot just outside the front door. As I went to enter the store a lady outside said “I will be with you in a few minutes”. So, I entered the store and stood at the counter. 4 minutes later the lady entered the store and said “I am by myself and you were to stay outside”. I replied that I had no problem with that instruction had you told me such, but, you did not. She then said “there was nobody else in the store”. I said how was I to know that … that’s magic? I then handed her my lotto tickets to check and the renewal sheets to play further advanced plays. She slapped the tickets down on the counter and said “you can go somewhere else for your tickets”. In shock I waited while she proceeded to help 3 additional customers (1 in the drive thru and 2 standing behind me. After serving the 3 customers I then asked if she was going to run my lotto tickets? She said “you can go somewhere else I am the manager”. I asked what is the problem here? She said “because I told you and you said it was magic”. I said yes, magic as if how was I supposed to know? I then left the store in shock as to how this entitled manager could treat customers so poorly. Clearly she is not a manager that leads by example unless her sole objective is to drive this business into the ground. Check the cameras – this is unbelievable. The new owner who took over for Randy needs to clean this problem up ASAP!"

"I was in Lake Havasu just for the day from Montana. I stopped here for fuel, a snack, and a drink. The young guy working the register was nice and respectful. I would stop back in here if I was passing through."

"So, Randy sold our Southside store and Retired. Which is well deserved... HOWEVER////! The last most current post was definitely written by the owners or friends. Because obviously they have never been there to shop. This store has gone down hill fast. My name is Chani. I have shopped @ this store for 28 years. Never any problems. Since this store has sold I have been to the drive thru 7 times and each time it gets worse. I have yet to see the new owners?? I'm pretty sure the all of the previous empliyees have quit.(I would) The only 2 emloyees I do see is the young man with the beard and I middle age man that wears a base ball this guy needs to be relieved of his duties, RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!This being said, I will continue to post and keep you all updated. I miss the old store."

"New owners as of September 1with lots of experience in the business. I think she said they owned five in total,the old Woodys in Parker, Aguia,and several more places. Thru both seem like very nice people,and Darlene,Tim, and talented David are all still there! Love this place,and i didn't even nite how fabulous their breakfast burritos were until I saw it here on the reviews! So stop on by and say hello,and let them know whatcha want to see there that they don't offer! Hard alcohol ,desserts? Also want to wish Randy,and Colleen a happy retirement after what, 35years or so in the mini market business!"

"I went into the store on the front of the door it says masks optional. Being 7 months pregnant I had to wear a mask that protects myself. They refused to sell to me unless I took off my mask first because they sited that they couldn't see my face features. No one in the store was wearing a mask so there is no way to stay safe without my mask."
