"My first experience w/this place a year or so ago was negative. So I avoided this place and went to ACE, Home Depot,etc. Yet I finally gave them another chance a few days ago as they are close to my home, and I needed parts I couldn't find elsewhere, BUT, this turned negative as well. First time I went in for a cheap fix for exterior water handle/hose bib They said it could only be fixed by an expensive redo of the connected pipes. I went elsewhere and found a screw on attached handle and fixed the problem cheaply. I meant for this to be temporary until I had more funds, but it has held up and still functioning after a year. Recent issue was for a toilet flapper and handle, for an angle tank, and the Van Marcke guy immediately said I needed to hire a plumber. I looked thru their parts anyway, and did not see much of a selection or availability of what I needed. A customer (and plumber) in the store advised that I go to Central Arizona Plumbing Supply. As I left the Clerk irritatedly said you need a plumber. I told him that I did most of the repairs in my home because of very tight retirement budget. I purchased tank lever and flapper from Central AZ Plumbing, w/their confirming advice why most universals don't work w/that American Standard type tank. I installed the parts in less than 10 minutes. Easy! The part that is not easy, is finding places that don't talk down to you, or that don't seem to care about good service, or perhaps are not informed sufficiently themselves."
