"Update: I am posting an update to let customers decide if they would like to spend their money here or not. Just wanted to let consumers know that customer service never followed up on the gift card. Last time I spoke with them they stated that there was money on the card but it was not activated. They said they would try to get it activated and let me know. They have NOT! I do not understand how a customer service department has to reach out to a store to activate and not able to do it themselves. Also, the owner responded to the review and stated that would reach out soon to make this right. I have not heard from anyone! I am giving this color bar one star due to the terrible customer service. It is unfortunate that the customer service was so poor at this location. The concept of a color bar is great but Madison Reed needs to work with their employees on what really counts - THE CUSTOMER! If they want repeat business from people that try their product and color bars, then those people need to feel that their business is appreciated. This was my first time at the salon. There were three employees in the store, my colorist, my shampooer and another woman that was also a colorist but may have also been the supervisor at the location. The only person that I believed showed customer service was my shampooer, Alexis. She was friendly and very helpful. On the other hand, my colorist was very unfriendly. You could tell that she did not want to answer my questions and was annoyed when I asked any. I had a lot of questions since this was my first experience with Madison Reed. I walked out of the salon still not understanding how the entire process worked or what products to order in the future to color my hair at home. It was very apparent the my colorist did not like her job at Madison Reed and cared less about customer satisfaction. The other colorist checked me out and had issues with a gift card that I was given. She did take money off of my total and gave me back the gift card and told me she had added some money to it. She said I could call the number on the card to find out the balance. Of course when I called the number on the card today, they told me that the card did not have any money on it. They told me that they would look into it and get back to me. We will see if they ever call me back."
"This was my very first time ever using Madison Reed. I'm giving the 2 stars for the product, I like the color. I chose to purchase the dye online and color myself at home. The poor rating is due to the customer service at this location. Again, I have never bought anything from here before. When I arrived I was asked if I received a confirmation email that my product was ready for pick up. I informed her that I received an email confirmation about my purchase but I didn't know I was to wait for another email to pick up the item, in which she asked when I placed it. I told her I placed the order about 2 hours earlier., she seemed annoyed. I told the employee I could just come back later, I just wanted to pic up the stuff before they closed at 7 and I was already after 5 pm, and she rudely said she would just fill it real quick. Which required her to place the items in a box, the hair color is already prepared and packaged all she has to do is place it in a box so this was not a large task to complete. Then it was handed to me and she walked away saying nothing. didn't thank me for my purchase, didn't ask if I had any questions about how to use it, didn't wish me a nice day. So I'm sorry but I wont be returning to this location. I encounter more respectful inmates at my job then this staff member. I felt like I was a huge bother to her, and all I wanted to do was pick up some hair dye on my way home from work. Remind you, I could have picked up hair color at the grocery store and got the same result, but wanted to "treat myself" to something nicer, and I just wish I hadn't chosen to come here."
"My hair ended up stripey with some very light pieces and some very brassy. And the back wasn’t touched other than a few thick pieces underneath. As more clients came in after me, he was doing multiple people so it was rushed and it definitely shows. Very disappointed"
