"Beware! Make sure to also read the 1 star reviews before booking an appointment. I will start off by saying my father-in-law is a retired dentist from another state and I used to work for him. I came in for an exam, cleaning and to have a cavity filled that I already knew about. After an exam from both the dentist and the hygienist it was recommended to me that I have work done totaling over $8,000.00 dollars (over $2,000.00 out of pocket w/insurance.) $2400.00 was for a cleaning with scaling and planing that would cost $385.00 out of pocket. After explaining I would not be able to afford the procedure at this time and would just like the cleaning that my insurance covered, I was informed that now that they deemed this service necessary, they will not allow me to have a regular cleaning. After leaving I immediately spoke with my father-in-law and showed him the x-rays. In his opinion, from what he could see the scaling and planing is not necessary. He also did not agree with most of the other recommended suggestions. I completely understand the point of recommendations and that this may be the best care for preventative health. Down the road I most likely will have it done if it is recommended after a second opinion. The issue for me is the denial of care when told that it is not an option for me at this time. In my opinion, it is unethical and feels very scammy when medical professionals refuse to give a treatment that is covered by insurance. One would think that a regular cleaning is better for my oral health than no cleaning at all. If you look at the one star reviews, this seems to be a regular occurrence for this office. It also seems as though they advertise extremely low exam and cleaning rates to uninsured patients, but then refuse to provide those services once getting you through the door. I will provide an update after I receive a second opinion from another office."
"I had a lot of dental work done and this was my first time at this office. Everyone was amazing, kind and professional. Dental assistants Lana and Aimee were so incredibly nice and made me feel comfortable. Dr Hwang was fantastic and eased my anxiety. I highly recommend this dental office and will only be coming here from now on. 5 stars"
"Queen Creek Smiles is truly exceptional. All the employees I dealt with (Shannon the hygienist, Mai and Jen and Dr. Hwang) were so kind, friendly, and professional. Shannon took the time to explain every step of the procedure, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout. I was impressed they are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. I left feeling I had received outstanding care. Highly recommended!"
"This is one of the best dentistries I have ever been through out my life. They definitely care about your dental health. One of the hygienist there Lori really has helped me get back on track and always took the time to make sure I was comfortable. She truly cares. I’m thankful and grateful for Lori! Totally recommending anyone and everyone to come there because this dentistry is great!"
"They have tried to pressure patients, both my husband and myself, into unnecessary treatments not fully covered by insurance for money. I’ve had to wait over an hour after my appointment was scheduled before actually being seen. Do not recommend unless you want tons of unsolicited contact from them - calls, texts, and emails interrupting your work. Tried to discuss the matter and ask for fewer calls and was treated condescendingly by the office manager. If you sign up for an appointment, be prepared to be required to download their app. They won’t let you consent to treatment outside of using their app. Most offices let patients sign a consent in office, but not them. Be advised you will be barraged with tons of calls, emails and texts even after confirming an appointment. I prefer to fill out paperwork in the office and not get tons of phone calls about doing it online ahead of time, disrupting my work. Spamming patients is not okay. When I arrived, the office manager swapped places with another check-in employee so she could be rude and condescending with me at check-in. She was also condescending to me previously about an insurance matter. Lori and the dentist are wonderful but with the condescending office manager, it isn’t worth coming back. My kids and I will be going somewhere else."
