"I popped in on a Friday night around 5:00p just for four fixings for a spaghetti dinner. I entered...didn't see any baskets. I asked the older gentleman if they had any? He said they did....at the other doors. Immediately followed by "I will get you one". Whoa! Perfect, thank you!!! He quickly got one and then dropped down to his knees to finish scraping tape or something off the floor, so I didn't get this wonderful gentleman's name. I do appreciate him though!! I grabbed a couple items then made my way through the back of the store.... this doesn't look right... so I turned around to go the other way.... came across a young sweeping fellow... Morgan. As I asked "is this the way to spaghetti and sauce?" Morgan said "it's down this aisle... I'll show you". Oh my goodness... thank you Morgan and the other fellow!! So helpful! So appreciated!! Wonderful customer service at this store!! By all means, above and beyond service!"
"Title: A Humiliating Encounter: Reflections on Racial Insensitivity at Fry’s Food Store March 9 2024 time at 7:15 pm As a patron of Fry’s Food store , I recently experienced a deeply troubling incident that left me feeling humiliated and racially targeted. My encounter occurred when Daniel, the store manager, instructed me and my seven-year-old daughter to return our shopping cart to its designated area. While this may seem like a routine request, the manner in which it was conveyed and the context surrounding it left me feeling deeply unsettled and marginalized. From the moment Daniel approached us, his tone and demeanor exuded a sense of superiority and condescension. Despite being a loyal customer, I was treated as though I had committed an egregious offense simply by failing to immediately return the shopping cart. However, what truly compounded the situation was the racial undertones that accompanied his request. As an individual of Asian , I am no stranger to experiencing prejudice and discrimination. Yet, the specific targeting of myself and my daughter, who is also of Asian, by Daniel, a person in a position of authority, was particularly distressing. His choice to single us out for what appeared to be a minor infraction spoke volumes about the pervasive biases that continue to plague our society. What made the situation even more troubling was the fact that Daniel's targeting of us seemed to be rooted in racial stereotypes. His assumption that we were somehow less capable or deserving of respect based on our ethnicity was not only hurtful but entirely unwarranted. It reinforced the painful reality that, even in seemingly mundane interactions, individuals of marginalized backgrounds are subject to scrutiny and mistreatment. Furthermore, the presence of my young daughter only added to the emotional toll of the encounter. Witnessing her father being subjected to such treatment undoubtedly left a lasting impression on her impressionable mind. It saddens me to think that she may grow up internalizing the message that her worth is somehow diminished because of her ethnicity. In reflecting on this experience, I am reminded of the importance of speaking out against racial injustice in all its forms. It is not enough to simply remain silent in the face of discrimination; we must actively challenge and confront it wherever it may manifest. By sharing my story, I hope to shed light on the insidious ways in which racism continues to permeate our society and inspire others to join me in the fight for equality and justice for all. In conclusion, my encounter with Daniel at Fry’s Food store served as a stark reminder of the enduring legacy of racism and the urgent need for systemic change. No individual should ever be made to feel inferior or unwelcome because of their ethnicity, and it is incumbent upon all of us to strive towards a world where such injustices are no longer tolerated."
"This place is okay. It's just that, okay. It's conveniently located. Some things are hard to find, and are not where most other Frys put their items, inside their store. The employees here are super nice. The lines aren't bad and the self-checkout areas are available quite often. My only feedback for management: Clean up your parking lot, curb appeal. Curls are rusting and look awful. The amount of debris and trash is atrocious. You need to quadruple your grounds duty. It shouldn't look as trashy as it does immediately when arriving."
"29 years I’ve been coming to this store … Kim B … customer service and Carmen, cashier are two of the most outstanding employees this store has … DANIEL! How did you get your job as front store manager? You have the absolute worst customer service and are extremely rude! Yes! I just can’t understand you treating customers and some of your employees the way you do. You truly need to take a refresh course for your own benefit. Kudos to the Other outstanding individuals… they get FIVE STARS"
"This specific location has the worse cart and basket situation of any grocery store I’ve been to in Arizona. The parking lot is consistently scattered with multiple carts. There have been zero times when I’ve entered the store and there have been available baskets for customers near the entrance. Instead, I have to walk to the self check outs to pick one up, then walk around their new security gates just to begin my shopping. For context, I bought a home near this store just over 2 years ago and i visit a few times a week. Great store and location, employees seem friendly but I find myself avoiding the place seeing that it’s difficult to a) find a parking spot where my car is least likely to be dinged by a rogue cart, and b) to shop easily given the lack of available baskets at the entryway. A small change and additional emphasis from store management on the customer experience in this case could immediately remedy the situation. Lastly, all photos were taken the same day as I exited the store."
