"I did not have a great experience at this dentist. I am on new insurance and went here because it was close to my house. During my X-rays with the dental assistant, she was super fun but made it clear to me she didn’t love being a dental assistant which I thought was weird. She also mentioned that Dr. Lee offers “regular cleanings” and “deep cleanings” which should have tipped me off, especially since she said “hopefully you won’t need a deep cleaning since those aren’t fully covered by insurance.” Turns out according to Dr. Lee I did need a deep cleaning, and made me nervous by explaining I had apparently horrible flossing habits that would eventually cause my gums to sag and my teeth to fall out. He then showed me pictures on Google of people who have advanced Periodontitis (which I have never been diagnosed with) and was basically scaring me into having to come back and get the deep cleaning. He also showed me Amazon links to buy floss, and special toothpaste to show what areas of my mouth I’ve been missing when I brush. I have never felt so embarrassed, nervous and freaked out at the dentist since I was a child because I really do try to take good care of my teeth! And I felt like I was a victim of a scare tactic to try to get me to come in AGAIN to get a $200 cleaning! And now because I chose this dentist I can’t see another dentist on my insurance for another 6 months. It definitely taught me a lesson to do more research when finding a dentist!"
