"Nedra was awesome. I never met a person so patient and accommodating. She made it possible for me to get through an anxiety bout within the small dental room in a short period of time. She also didn’t panic or ask a bunch of questions to make things worse, only what she needed to do to get us back on track for the appointment. I am truly grateful for what she made possible. I nearly walked out but thanks to her I had one of the best dental visits ever!"
"I had gone to this office for several years until they decided (new management) not to renew their contract with our insurance. I didn't have a problem with the hygienist nor the dentist but their office staff--one in particular--is very rude and won't let the customer get a word in edgewise when there are billing problems. I have been dealing with them for six months and each time I get the same person on the phone and she talks a mile a minute, says she will correct the bill, but then doesn't have the correct mailing address, etc. I would not recommend going here."
"The Office Manager and one particular front office assistant (receptionist) are very rude and unprofessional. The office manager implied that I was stupid because I didn't call the office while they were closed to leave a message cancelling my appointment 48 hours in advance. It was assumed that I lied about being too ill to come in for my appointment and I was falsely accused of threatening due to my tone of voice. No threatening words were ever used. I am a senior woman of color who took much offense to how I was treated by the two staff members at Gentle Dental Thunderbird. It is sad that a woman of my age and color had to endure such treatment by a medical facility. I was also banned by the Office Manager from all Gentle Dental Medical facilities. I was not allowed to speak with my dentist or hygienist regarding this issue. I had been attending this location for years and never had any problems prior to the unnamed employee who initiated all the rudeness, drama and unprofessionalism. This particular employee has been rude from day one, not only to me but to other patients and staff members."
"I called in Nov/Dec for a cleaning because I've been to a different Gentle Dental location before. I was told the office was busy and will likely need to do the exam and cleaning separately, but the exam first. I understood, as it's the end of the year. I scheduled an exam with Dr. Han, then a cleaning at later date. During my exam with Dr. Han, I brought up my most pressing concern. As I pointed to the part of my mouth where I am concerned, the first and only thing he said in response was "are you okay with your teeth like that?", derailing the health-focused question to a cosmetic one. He was referring to the fact that my teeth were a little crooked due to a broken permanent retainer. I didn't realize he distracted me for a cosmetic problem until I left so I did not even get an answer to the most important problem I had. Between my two appointments, the office changed location. The front desk called me to inform me of this. That's not ideal, but I understand. Then the front desk called again, to tell me that they need to move my appointment time. At this point, I'm already very unimpressed with this disorganization. Again, I agree-- I just want my cleaning. I show up only to be told that the doctor was out of town, and that my exam was apparently "incomplete" so I cannot even get my cleaning (why did I even take time off work to meet with Dr. Han then?). I'm clearly not happy at this point because this is far too many issues for ONE cleaning. My hygienist was very friendly and understanding, and mentioned that even they too were confused. That does not really help me, it only further drills in that the management office is incapable of even informing their staff of the changes that are happening. So I jump through all these hoops, work through all my scheduling at work to make this one cleaning happen, only for it to not happen. I am still waiting for my cleaning. Let's hope this time, finally, the doctor is in or the office can at least call me to tell me if he isn't. Very disappointing experiences."
